Rare 2012 GT Premium 18" wheels - proper front disc brakes?

I have a 2012 GT Premium with what seems to be rather rare 18" wheels that I bought new. At least I know that the rear sway-bar is definitely from a GT-350 that was used from the factory for 18" wheels. My question is are the front brakes different because of the 18" wheels or are they just stock GT front brake pads.

Any help appreciated.

A picture of the front wheel where you could see the brakes would probably help get some answers quicker.

The wheels do not require bigger brakes, but bigger brakes can require different wheels to clear. 18" wheels were used on the GT's with the basic/standard non-Brembo brakes.

Like he said above, a picture would be worth at least a thousand words here; we could identify both the wheels and the brakes if we could see them.

If the brake calipers are black and say Brembo on them, those are the bigger brakes that came with the "Brembo" package. But that package came with19" wheels, so I'm not sure what you have.

The GT-350 was a different, later chassis (S550 2015+) and I'm about 99% positive that a sway bar from a GT-350 would not fit a 2012 car. A sway bar from the earlier S197 GT-500 might have been added by the previous owner, but you said you bought it new, so I can't explain that either.

IIRC! The only 18" size wheels that the factory equipped with Brembo Brakes were 18x9.5" wheels on the 2007-14 Shelby GT500 paired with Goodyear Eagle F1 255/45/18" tires (front) and 285/40/18" tires rear... To my knowledge 2012 GT models factory equipped with the Brembo brake package were available in 19x8.5" size wheels paired with 255/40/19" tires... Anyhow, I wasn't able to locate listings for 18" wheel/tire sizes for 2012 GT models that were factory equipped with the Brembo brake package

Ford Really Had a Confusion of Brake Pads on the 2nd Gen S-197's If You Want to Go with the Pads that Came on Your Car New, Simply Type in the Vin to Cut Down the Choices. The Less Than Description Notes on the Pads Can Be Confusing.

Of Note the Pads with the V in the Middle of the Part Number 2v001 Notate the Value Line Brake Pads. Usually at Some Point They Phase out The OEM 2001 Part Number and That Leaves Only the Value Line to Purchase. The Oem Pads Are Better Quality.

As an FYI Look at the Caliper Listings. Only Three Choices. Shelby, Performance and Non Performance.
