I purchased the Koni Shocks and Struts, Eibach Pro Kit and GT500 Strut Mounts. Do I need this kit?

I'm getting a panhard bar as well. What are the bump stops for and do I really need them?

The FRPP bump stops are, visually, identical to the stock bump stops on my Brembo GT. They are not shorter and the rubber does not appear to be any different.

Do you need them? Probably not. I would suggest running stock bump stops, and if you bottom out, then trim them down.

 

The Eibach pro-kit should come with new rear bump stops, at least it does for the 11-13 pro-kit. I am unsure about the Koni's, the front struts may have new bump stops included. I know I did the Eibach pro-dampers and they too came with front bump stops so I would say your not going to need that bump stop kit.

 

Koni's do not come with new bump stops. I re-used my stockers when I installed my Sports.

 

I reused the stock ones and trimmed them with a hack saw

 

So why does the FRPP come with them?

 

I got new shorter bumpstops with my K Springs. I dont think it has anything to do with the shocks..

 

Eibach Pro-Kit comes with new bumpstops and instructions for their installation. I just got mine yesterday. Here’s a pic.

Black 5.0, you mentioned getting a panhard bar. Do you think I will need one as well? I watched Eibach's video and Motorz video on Youtube and there was no mention of a panhard bar.

 

When lowering there is a high probability that you will. You can just measure after you lower than get the PHB if you need it.

Well I can say my stock ones were rusted like the axle after a few months. The frpps were painted black on the base if that matters. They really are just so you can purchase them so no having to break down the stock front assemblies. So why not change the rears if you have them?! It takes like 1 minute, literally.

 

Are the bump stops the same size on the front too or just the rear?

 

I didn't measure mine but they seemed to be a lighter weight then the stock ones. Almost like less dense

Can you do me a favor and take a picture of the rear bump stops if your still stock. You can do it through the wheel spokes. I ask because I want to compare to mine after Steeda sports.

 

I never took the pic but I have the Steeda ultralites and mine looks about the same.

Here is a picture of mine stock. Distance from the top-center of the bump stop to the center of the depression on the frame is about 2.5 inches. I've bottomed out my rear suspension once crossing an intersection. Didn't realize there was such a large hump in the middle of it :/

 

Sweet Thanks. Mine is about right with a 1.25" drop. Will be cleaning the part the bump stop hits and adding a little grease to top of bump stop. That way I can see if it's hitting.

 

I bought these and they are identical to the ones already on the car. I would say no you don't need them but for $30 they aren't too bad to have just in case you need them.
