^^I agree with you. Going with a 285, I would use atleast a 10" wheel.

I was on SVTP the other day and there's guys running a 285 on a 19x9 wheel.

Agreed. 315's should be run on a 11" wheel in my opinion.

If you're going with 20's and want a 305 rear, then I'd go with these.

Great price for Michelin. 220 tread rating which is decent. Front and rear tires are rated for over 186mph. Not that you'll be going that fast but if you ever did, the tires would hold up. They also have plenty of sizes in 19" if 20's aren't what you're going for.
