Lol, thanks man ... can't wait to get it done and get the car unloaded ... it's sitting level now with the back end weighed-down as it is, loaded with a 75-lb jack, the new struts/shocks/springs/mounts/relo-brackets/tools.

And the panda bear is STILL in his seat in the back ... LOL

Well, today I met up with 3 great Mustang guys and we started my suspension mods.

This is what we started with:




We got the BMR relocation brackets done, and nothing else ... lol
The wind was vicious, and the 40-degree temps combined with the wind made it a COLD day in MA ... we'll re-try in a week or two, but for now my LCA's have been relocated

I do have one question though :
I think we were supposed to install the large washer that comes with the BMR brackets onto the upper bolt on the passenger side.
We did not use this washer, and I'd LOVE to know how crucial it is.

Anybody have any input on that ?

Don't remember ... we were reading them but between the cold, the wind, working uncomfortably under the car, I don't remember what it said about any washer ...

The instructions, as it turns out, don't say anything about using the washer anywhere.
So here's what it looks like, I think it's good without it, IF that's where it was meant to go:






Today it was actually nice out, sunny and mid 40's ... lol ... so I got off my butt and installed the Roush chin splitter ... I love how it looks, I think it's exactly what the '13-'14 front-end needs to make it right.

that open space between the weight and the LCA bracket is where a spacer should go, at least that's what whiteline's instructions say. I would check with the manufacturer to see what they say. I just removed the weights all together.

What lower control arms are those Gabe?

There's a spacer AND a washer.
The spacer I used.
It got installed in-between the driver side relo bracket inner plate and the OEM LCA mount, since there was a visible gap there that looked to be the same size as the spacer.
Low and behold, the spacer was a tight fit, but it fit perfectly in there ... lol

Your car is looking good. Were you able to squeeze all of your tools, jack and ramps in the trunk of your stang?

Couple questions on your relocation brackets. Are you going to weld them in?

How much ground clearance is there from the bottom of the bracket? Reason, I plan on doing similar someday, and when I cant wash and detail the car myself I go to an automated wash. I want to make sure I dont catch on the inside track.

Lol NO, I had stuff in the trunk, back seat, and some even in the right-front seat and floor ... the car was a 1-seater.

I measured the back end height today and apparently the car was sagging a little more than a 1/4" with just the floor jack, tools, and ramps in it ... probably sat even lower with the struts/shocks/springs/mounts/brackets in it too ... lol

She must be HAPPY that she's emptied out ... lol

As far as the relo brackets ... I don't plan on welding them in. I was told and I've read on here too that unless I'm gonna race on slicks and do sky-high-RPM clutch drops, that they don't need to be welded.
I've gotten on it good a few times already, all street "abuse" on the all-season 19's, and no issues.
These things are beefy.

I'll try to measure, hopefully I remember next time I'm out, which should be soon since the forecast changed to nice weather till next Monday so I wanna hit the car wash then come home and detail it
