Offset

Stangers, do you know what offset I need if I'm running 275x40x18 tires and 18x9.5? It's a 2011 mustang GT w/ brembo package and H&R sport springs (keep in mind it's for regular and track driving.

+35 is about as far as you should go on a 9.5 wide. That will put the rim to the very edge of the wheel well. Now, if you roll the tire (narrow tire on a wide rim) you can go further but I wouldn't do that on the track. I run a 19x9.5 with a +35 and 285/35-19's. Be aware that if you're running the Brembo's you would need a rim that would clear them. Offset would be more than an issue. The SVE Drifts from Late Model Restoration clear the Brembo's and give you that +35 offset.

Thanks Fergel, I guess I need to find the min offset to clear the brembos first then work from there.

From what I hear, only a select few 18" wheels fit over the Brembos. I know of one, but I'm sure there are more. I know I didn't address your question at all, and for that I apologize, but I wanted to let you know.

+1 for what Fergel said. I would just call tire rack, they can help you figure that out no problem and likely have several wheel options ready to order.

Let us know if you have any questions on wheel fitment. We've done many test fitments to ensure proper wheel fitment and clearance.

Thanks fellas, contacted Vivid Racing and they worked with same wheel size and offset (18x9.5 w/ +35) for a Stang GT w/ BBP and no clearance issues. Contact in Korea list them for about 3.8Mil Won so about $3.4K out the door.

The 18x10 GT4 wheels from American Muscle clear the Brembos with plenty of room and are less than 20lbs per wheel. $155 per wheel is a lot better than $900. Just a thought.

The 18x9 wheels this style clear them as well.

On what scale is this? Big differance between less than 20 and over 25 lbs.

Volk Racing TE37SL 18x9.5 (+35), 5x114.3, 73.1 (gotta buy hub ring adapters for 70.5), 17.33lbs (SLs are 400g lighter (.9lbs) than original TE37)

Yeah sorry, they are 23.4 lbs. I was thinking of another wheel that was less than 20 in that size. That's for 18x9.

OP, great wheels. Not too many Muscle guys running Volks until lately. I know some M3 guys that run them now too.

Pressed graphite (dark grey) is the only color for that size and offset.
