Need Advice on Ford Racing P-Springs

I need advice on the P-Spring by Ford Racing for my 2012 GT. They are the perfect drop I am looking for (1" front and rear), and will keep the muscle car rake. However the disclaimer says that the only way they will work on a 11+ Mustang is to use Ford Racing M-18183-C upper strut mounts, and M-18000-A dampers.

Does anyone know if this is true?

I really want to use a set of KONI Adjustable Shocks & Struts (11-14), along J&M Adjustable Caster Camber Plates (11-14 All). Will I have issues with this setup, or the notorious front end noise?

I know they recommend upgrading the GT500 strut mounts due to the increased durometer, but it seems that a good aftermarket caster camber plate would be just as good.

I’ve attached the full list of parts I want to put on the car.

Someone may correct me on this, but I believe you can use the springs, it's only when you're using an 05-09 specific strut that you need 05-09 mounts.

If I do happen to be wrong on this, the simple answer if those are the springs you want, is to use an 05-09 strut and a caster/camber plate for 05-09 to match. Either way, throw us some before/after pics, I'm looking at those springs as well. But the drop is mild enough I don't feel caster/camber plates are needed, and will likely go to the GT500 mounts.

That's what I thought, and I've seen plenty of other folks on the forum that have not used the Ford Racing shocks/ struts or caster camber plates, and have not had an issue.

The j&m caster camber plates that I plan to use work with both 05-10 style struts, as well as the 11-14 style struts.

The GT500 mounts won't fit the 11+ struts, none of them. I'm not that crazy about J&M products, we've had LCA bushings shred apart and the infamous J&M CC plates "knock".

We have a pretty nice forum discount as well to use on the already discounted Koni Yellows For CC plates the new BBK ones are actually pretty nice and for the PHB would simply stick with BMR, its tried and true.

Overall its not a bad kit, the Roush LCA's are nice but billet aren't completely necessary unless you're going to some looks as well.

I was just going to say, go with all the BMR stuff you can if possible, they are great.

I didn't say they did, in fact I specified he'd have to use the older style struts to use the GT500 mounts, was merely presenting that as an option. I think it's a valid option, being that factoring in a small savings on the struts, there's an extra $200+ that can be spent elsewhere by using that setup.

That said, if you feel you need the camber/caster adjustment of plates, the above advice is irrelevant.

I opted to do the GT500 mounts (found a great deal on a set) recently, and seeing the OEM GT mounts next to the GT500 mounts, I'm glad I upgraded. The GT500's are much more robust.

My OEM mounts did not spit out any bearings, as many people's do, but seeing how they are assembled it would be no big deal to repack the bearings if some were to come out during disassembly of the OEM struts.

Would recommend the GT500 mounts though. And you'll need the 05-09 struts with them.
