Just installed BMR springs and Koni STR.T dampers

And I love it!

The car sits perfect. It rides very good for a lowered vehicle. I want to say better than stock but that is my opinion. The ride is more firm but not as harsh. It absorbs bumps/rough road very well. I didn't get a chance to push it hard through any corners or get some pics because it was dark when we finished the install.

I highly recommend this setup.

Thanks Jay and the Hypermotive team for your input and great customer service. And thanks everyone on here as well. I can't wait for the sun to come out so I can really see what it's all about!

NICE! I knew you would. It's a great combo for anyone who DDs there 'stang and is looking for better handling, a lower stance and a good ride!

Anthony..thanks for your words of wisdom!

Now I'm at a crossroads. I am getting the windows tinted next week, but do I hold off on mods for a while or do I order up the catless h pipe that I've been on the fence about? If I do the catless H pipe then the next logical mod is porting/polishing intakes.

I think I'll end up holding off on performance mods for a month or two. That will give me time to run it down the drag strip and see where it's at so I have some room to improve with more mods.

It's just so hard to keep it stock.

Any photos of the car after the drop? Did you just get 13/14 koni strt's and reuse factory mounts?

No photos yet, it's been cloudy and rainy here the past couple of days. The weather should be nicer to tomorrow afternoon I can post some.

I used 05-09 struts with GT500 mounts. I thought about using 13-14 struts and re-using the mounts but I didn't want to run the risk of the mounts coming apart during the process and then having to put them back together knowing they'll make noise.

Looks great. Did you get a alignment the install? Did you use camber bolts?

Can you see the orange color of the shocks and struts poking out at all?

Looks good lowered! Might be a optical illusion, but in the picture, it looks lower in the back than front.

****! You just reminded me to get an alignment, I've been crazy busy at work. The steering wheel is straight and the car drives straight as an arrow, but there is a bit more negative camber. I will get the alignment checked this weekend, I'm assuming I'll need camber bolts.

Yes, you can see a bit of the orange on the struts when looking through the front wheels, and you can see a lot of the orange shocks and partial red springs when looking through the rear wheels. It doesn't stand out, but if you're looking closely, you'll see it. I love it.

The BMR springs are V6/GT universal and provide a 1 inch drop in front and 1.25 inch drop in rear. The drop on a GT will lower the front slightly more due to heavier engine. The pictures were taken within a few days of install, since then the springs have settled have settled and the car sits level. I also have about 100lbs of work related BS in my trunk.

1 inch in front and 1.25 inch in rear. Those are the spring specs, I haven't actually measured.
