Which front brake cooling kit?

I could use some insight from others experience on what the best front brake cooling kit for track duty is?
I have a 2014 track pack car with the brembo brakes on front.
I'm also thinking about the GT500 rear rotor upgrade with the 13.8 rotors and caliber brackets, has any one done this swap, what was your impression of it?

Thanks for the input in advance!

I have the Kenny Brown plates, more expensive then I think they needed to be. If I could do it again I would just grab the kit from Blowfish and call it a day. They should all work the same as long as they are pointing the air into the veins of the rotor, which most should now.

I'm going with the JLT kit when I do it. It's less than $200.

I like the price of the JLT kit but, I don't really want to drill my front bottom valance.
Does the blowfish racing one go in the blank spaces where there could be lower fog lights?

I have used both the foglight inserts (Ford OEM and I believe the same ones Blowfish offers) and then I switched to my own version of the JLT ones. I made the switch because the effective area of the fog insert openings was much smaller than the JLT style. I was still getting overheating of the brakes with the fog light inserts.

If I were to go back and do it again, I'd look at the 4" setup as well, which utilizes an oval brake backing plate and supports significantly more flow area.

I have a thread in this section on my setup - it's ended up working quite well.

I have a 2014 Track Pack. I have the 3" Vorshlag backing plates, which are OE modified parts & lightest on the market. Currently using the ford racing lower fog light inlets, but will be changing to the Vorshlag lower grill inlets. I want to use the fog light inlets to direct more airflow into the radiator & air box areas.
I will also be upgrading to GT500 Six pistons with 2 piece big rotors up front, and the dogbone adapters with 14" 2 piece rotors in the back. This set up should allow me to use ceramic pads (way less dust) while still improving the brake performance.

Expensive way to go....but hey it's only money and you only live once......so make sure you do as much as you can if it put's a smile on your face!!!!

On the jlt kit, it looks like the whole stock brake dust shield has to be removed, is that right?

Oem brake dust shield is removed for all cooling setups. You want to minimize thermal gradients on the rotor.

What about when i fit gt500 rear rotors, should the shield be removed, the rears will not be cooled but I'm guessing the bigger gt500 rotors will eclipse the oem brake shield making them useless anyway.

If you are tracking your car, you should remove the brake dust shield front and rear.
