FINALLY PULLED THE TRIGGER!

I have had my GT for about a year now. I have only done the gt500 exhaust, and ford racing tune. Well I am happy to say I made a massive purchase today. One hell of a Christmas gift for myself. Last year was the stang, it looks like I am treating myself again this year haha. Here is what i got.

Suspension goodies:
1) Ford OE Mustang strut tower brace
2) steeda Rear shock tower brace
2) Koni yellow struts (05-10)
3) Koni Yellow shocks(05-10)
4) Ford racing GT500 strut(11-14)
5) Steeda Ultralight springs(05-14)
6) Steeda adjustable panhard bar

Non suspension goodies:

1) Steeda ultimate induction pack!
2) raxiom navigation
3) Boss 302 quad pipes(processing crossing my finger that it doesnt get cancelled.
4) coyote third brake light.

Oh wow I cant wait!!

I would really appreciate input on my suspension choice. I most likely will need a uca to adjust pinion angle. I will first install it and see if my pinion angle is off. Also I want to make sure the 05-10 shock/struts works with the gt500 mounts on my 2014.

The kit is getting difficult to obtain at the moment (maybe forever). There's an active thread in 2010-2014 with discussion on this and a few sources.

Having recently installed the kit, I think you could use Boss parts if they haven't been discontinued as well. However I've only seen the Boss undercarriage in photos. Also I priced just the three main pieces (h pipe and sides) and it was like $1200! I don't know if that includes the restrictors and gaskets and stuff. You'll also need the attachment hardware for the side pipes (two bolts).

Ford has to produce replacement parts for 7 years after the original was sold. For the 2012 Boss, that is 2019. You need to get a VIN from a Boss owner on here and have the parts guy plug it in to the parts catalog to see if they can get service replacement parts for it...

I was told that they don't make the parts separately? They are only sold as kits. Maybe I was misinformed.

Thanks for your input, thats great to hear! I hope I am not missing anything, hopefully wont need cc plates. I think the Ultralight springs lower more, i am curious why you choose the sports over the ultralights? I had a real hard time choosing between the two.

Drop the pipes and get an extremely useful mod. MGW shifter.

Lol I got 23k miles. My brother complains about missing third, but personally I have never missed it or grinded. Only the usual minor second gear grind when its cold.

Didn't you already order the panhard bar?

But a Watt's link is the way to go if you've got the $$$. And it looks like you need no convincing on Steeda's quality. So why wouldn't you?

Yeah true. Sounds good, I can't wait to see how differently my car will handle. I feel like a little kid opening every package. Lol

I know how you feel. I'm collecting my parts over time as I can't dump that much into one purchase. But I'll have it all set to go once the car comes out of storage in spring.

Sounds like a great list. You'll love the suspension. I need to upgrade my STR.t's to yellows soon for the adjustability and need to get stiffer springs. Looking at the HR race or steeda competition based on how I use the car.

Have heard nothing but great things about the watts setup. It's on my list but down below roll bar and harnesses

Enjoy your new parts!

Awesome thanks, I am wondering with this setup will my car handle as good if not better than the boss 302?

I don't have any first hand experience with your suspension setup, but I suspect that you will enjoy the handling improvement.
