Falken Azenis FK-453's or FK-452's?
I see the latest RTR mustang is running the Falken Azenis FK-453's instead of the older 452's. Anybody try the new ones and if so, do you like them? I can't seem to find them on 1010 tires but looks like Discount Tire has them for $226.00 a piece (cheaper than the 452's!).
Just picked up a set of RTR rims and need some rubber.
453's:

And the 452's:

I have the 452's on my summer wheels. I'd skip them. They grip well, but the road noise they make is reason alone to avoid them. I'd look at the Conti ExtremeContact DW's or the BFG G-Force Comp 2's instead.

I have the 452's also and they grip well and I dont know about the road noise thing he is talking about ive never noticed any more or less. I would say they are about as good as any other tire would be for my 470 hp car they are just not over priced

Agreed. I think i'll take a chance and get the 453's as it sounds like they are the replacements for the outgoing 452's. According to this site they have improved them quite a bit.

I have driven my car on the stock Pirelli's, the 452's, and my Blizzaks for winter, and the road noise from the Falkens is by far the worst of any of them. They make a howling on highway speeds that is very noticeable. I don't know if they've fixed that in the 453's, but if they did, they wouldn't be half bad.
