Dropping the GHIG
Dropping the GHIG
Ell after thinking I got a awesome deal on a set of lowering springs for a smokin hot deal on a Black Friday deal from AM, I finally got the last parts to do my drop. So now here's what all is going on the car tonight, SR lowering springs, Koni STR.T struts and shocks from Jay @ hypermotive (thanks for all the help), GT500 upper strut mounts, BMR LCA relocation brackets, & a J&M adjustable pan hard bar. Man I have a busy night ahead of me. Now the only other thing I really want for the suspension is a BMR UCA & bracket.
I am probably going to put a set of sway bars on her in a while. That will complete the suspension, unless I end up putting a set of coil overs in it .

I would highly recommend a BMR UCA and Mount, also I would also say to skip the Sway bars, you could run a front sway bar but that's about all I would do if you only plan to DD or road course. I've tested the different between sway bars aftermarket and OEM in regards to the rear and you will not see the benefits. I've not only tested myself on the street and track but I've talked to various competitive road racing teams such as Rehagan and PAS, both offered the same basic knowledge.
Again, UCA and mount is crucial.... to the overall life of your rear end.

Ok so I got the springs, shocks, and struts installed this morning, now I still have the pan hard bar and LCA brackets to go. But I had to take the car for a spin and get some lunch to see how much of a difference there is. I like the way she feels, there really is a big difference in the handling and how stiff the car feels, it doesn't look a whole lot lower yet, but I'm sure it needs to settle a bit.
