2013 Tokico D-Spec fitment.
I have search in the Forum and on vendors sites and I have seen conflicting information regarding fitment on the Tokico D-Spec on the 2012 and 2013 models.
Some site are sowing that they don't ft and some others are saying that they will fit if the top plates are upgraded to the GT500 ones.
Anyone here has installed any new struts on a 2012 or 2013?
What is different between the news mustang serie and the older 05-09 in terms of suspension hardware and mounting ?

The 2011+ has a different strut shaft design, but the 05-10s and SVT cars have a different style. You should be fine getting the GT500 strut mounts or a set of camber/caster plates for an 05-10 car and they bolt in the same.

Let me know if I can get you a set. We have D-Specs that fit the 11+ with the OE '11+ mounts so nothing else is necessary.

On a 2011+ GT, is there a great handling difference between replacing the standard elements and springs with the D-spec and -1" springs and only replacing standard elements with D-spec ?

Are the 11+ mounts as bad as the earlier ones and should be upgraded to the GT500 ones or should we go with the 11+ D-Spec and keep OEM mounts ?

Are you asking if there's a big difference between replacing just the dampers (D-Specs) as compared to dampers and springs?
The GT500 mounts are still an upgrade for the '11+ (non-GT500).

Great question. Yes, there is a big difference between just replacing the dampers as compared to replacing the dampers and springs.
Doing either separately is going to net better results over stock, but both together is the best choice. The reason is that the stock springs are softer and better suited for daily driving. Our springs have a firmer spring rate than stock which is going to reduce nose dive and acceleration squat, as well as lowering the vehicle's center of gravity which improves handling.
Let me know if I can help you with anything.
