My DIB baby is Here!
Just picked up my 2014 DIB GT on Tuesday 5/14/2013. It was exactly 8 weeks from my order date. The car was built on 4/29/2013. The longest 2 months of my life.

Congrats!!! You are going to love it. It's an attention getter for sure. Especially when the sun is out and you are scootin around. People comment all the time.

Thanks everyone! I am loving this car. I've been driving slow (70 mph) on the freeway during the break-in period. I love watching people break their necks looking at the car when they go by…lol. Lots of thumbs ups…even from some Bowtie guys.
What protection do you recommend for the paint?

And The Modding Begins!
Thanks guys! This color is stunning. 1500+ miles on the clock and the modding begins. I'm taking baby steps here but it should escalate pretty quickly. I'm pretty happy with the engine performance for now I plan to focus on the suspension. I intentionally skipped the Premium option when I ordered the car to budget for the performance suspension upgrades so thats where my focus will be. Along the way I will add some minor appearance and functional changes.
First Mod: Blacked out the 5.0 badges on the fenders. When I ordered the car I asked to not have the 5.0 put on. The dealer said there is no option to delete the badges. I mentioned the base V6 mustangs don't have any badging on the fenders, so he said he would check. Basically Ford said if you order a GT you get the 5.0 badging…period!
Mod 2: Removed the sound tube. It's big, ugly, gets in the way of checking the oil, and makes absolutely no difference in the sound of the engine inside the car.

I finally did my suspension mod yesterday at CorteX with Koni double adjustable front struts, single adjustable rear coil overs, watts link, lower control arms, and alignment. I drove it in their shop with the stiff and harsh (stock 4x4 looking) track pack suspension and a few hours later it came out looking like this. 450 lbs rate springs on the front and 225 lbs rate springs in the rear for make for a awesome street ride. I will go back next week for the torque arm.

OP, sorry I did not follow up to your question on paint protection.
What I have done, the first day I got my GT, was citrus wash it, clayed it, polished it(3 times) and then sealed it. I use Zaino products but there are many others out there that are quite good.
Go to the car detail section of this forum and you will find a lot of info on keeping it clean.
Also, google Junkman2000 and watch his you tube stuff for more info.
Have fun with your car, sounds like you building a beast!

Full Kenny Brown and coils. I want the new Steeda rear xbrace so I can keep my rear seats too. I was going to get the rear tower bar but the xbrace looks more substantial. Then wheels and tires to match.
