Mustang fever!

Ordered August 2, 2012
Built September 10, 2012
Delivered September 24, 2012
Picked up ... tomorrow! September 26, 2012

I stopped by the dealer after work today and he told me it was down the street being detailed for tomorrow's sale. I've never seen a Mustang in DIB in person. Got a peek at it this evening and I felt like a little kid again. I was surprised at the emotion I felt when I saw the car. I was pumped! Can't believe I take possession tomorrow.

That's the kid detailing the car giving me the thumbs up because he admires the car.

I finally brought it home today. Ordered August 2nd, it was a long time coming in many ways.

Thanks.

Ok, here's a dumb question for you all.

How do you close your door when you get out of the car?

I just got my car yesterday and I don't know where to grab the door. My old car had a frame around the window and that's what I would push on. Now I find myself grabbing the window, which doesn't seem right, or the top corner of the Mustang's door. It feels awkward either way. What's considered proper door etiquette for these cars?

Put hand on door and push

Yeah, I wouldn't put pressure on the window. Pushing off the door handle seems like the safest choice.

As I thought it over, that's what I was thinking.

At first I was grabbing the window because that's how I closed the door on my old car, except that door had a frame around it. The I started grabbing the top corner of the door and there are finger marks all over it now. It was awkward.

Now I've been consciously grabbing the door handle to close it. Seems silly, but it is an adjustment for me. Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it.

I push on the horizontal plastic strip between the door and window. That way you don't get fingerprints everywhere

Only downside for that is the strip will get looser each time. Only slightly but it adds up.

OP: sweet ride and congrats! Might be worth takin a spin to the car care thread. Plenty tips there to keep that new paint lookin new for yeeaarrss to come. As for the door i tend to use the door handle as well
