2014 GT GHIG Arrival

My car arrived at the dealership today in Canton, OH! My pops is a mechanic there and he sent me this picture this afternoon. I am in Dental School @ The Ohio State University so I am anxious to make the two hour drive back home to check it out! Thanks to everyone on here for all the good advice and a big shoutout to Deysha for the great customer service. Specs are: 2014 GT, GT Track Package, 3.73 gears & Recaro cloth seats. Oh and I probably won't be picking it up until the weather gets nice here in Ohio and the owner is putting it inside in the showroom until then so if there is anyone interested in buying the Track pack Wheels to put on their ride please PM me. I will take them off at the dealership when I pick it up so they will have practically zero miles on them!

I like it

Congrats on new car. Wow that looks great.

It reminds me of my old 1971 Mercury Cougar XR7 which was a color similar to this with white leather seats.

I just bought a used 2011 Red GT CS yesterday and will start the fun of detailing and a few mods.

Good luck in school and GO BLUE!.

Jim

I'm sure it just the base portion of the stocker. The dealer probably didn't install the mast portion, so it wouldn't get stolen.

Decided I am going to keep the rims & use the 255 wheels on the front with 305's on the rear. Will post pics later this spring when I pick up the car. Ohio weather isn't the greatest until then so I'm trying to be patient for pick-up day Any thoughts/ideas on gloss back rims (style)?

Congrats on the new whip. The only problem I have with Black rims is they are over played, however love to see how GHIG would look with deep dish black with chrome outers.

Gloss black rims should look good on the green. I would pick up some staggered new rims (9 inch up front and 10 inch out back) if you want to go with tires that are 255 up front and 305 in the rear. 305 is going to look weird and too bulky a 9 inch out rim out back. Plus your handling might suffer. If you like the rims i'd just keep it as is and save some money.

If it's a manual, this is exactly what I ordered on 3/22! Can't wait to get mine, but I don't even have a VIN yet.

Was going to leave it alone (even though he made sure to put the THE in there lol), but since you got the ball rolling...I-L-L....(waiting for other Illini fans to chime in lol). Nah, since it's a national site - gotta rep the Big Ten!

Agreed, so beautiful in pictures, but so much better in person.

In terms of wheels, I'm a big fan of the wide rears, and if you are too, I'd recommend a staggered 20" set. 9" in front, 11" in back. Get some 295 or 305 or 315/30/20 tires (the 295/30/20 would be the exact match to the stock size, but the 305 and 315 would only put the speedo off by less than 1%).

Enjoy the new car, cool to see someone get exactly the same as me lol.
