From what I hear 2016 was a terrible year for the Subaru CVT transmission, they actually extended the warranty on it because so many people had problems with them.
So I'd probably recommend staying away from the '16 models.
Otherwise, I recommend them. We have over 210,000 miles on our '03 Forester 5-speed, wife bought it new, it's still chugging along !

DUDE,.........I can't take the car out. ALMOST EVERY SINGLE ****ING DAY IS RAINING!!! lol I was dead set on taking her out today, but I saw the news last night and they said rain, plus it was pouring out last night with lightning and thunder. I knew I wasn't taking her out. I need to retire so I can drive my car. Work just gets in the way. LMFAO

Took the Green Machine to get her annual inspection sticker this morning. What a blast!! 3rd pedal,....what?!?!?! lol
Anyways, got the car all set, my buddy parks it out front away from everyone else and we're talking a bit. A guy there about my age, maybe a bit younger, in his mid to lower 40's and married brought his huge suv to get looked at.
So he and I end up talking and he's asking me about the Roush and he's drooling over it. Best compliment I got to date with the car,....he says, "that's not a car man, that's a piece of art".
That made my whole weekend.

Awesome man. I like going on Saturdays because my buddy only works on Saturdays doing inspections. (He has a full time M-F job.)
Good luck man, she should pass no problem though. Hoping the weather is good.

Love those compliments! Got something very similar recently, and I totally agree. There is just something about these cars that I can't keep my eyes off. The S197 Mustangs are all beautiful, but the Roush appearance mods just take it to another level. By adding the GHIG yours really stands out. The name of the paint color is appropriate!
