Race Red Coming in 6-8 weeks

Ordered yesterday a Race Red GT Prem with over the top stripe, spoiler and Brembo brakes. Since I haven't seen any photos of this combo yet I will post some when I get it.

Joe C.

This is what mine will look like...

Thank you Mark, you are too kind!

I see you got a hot looking car too! Good luck with it! I have been wanting to get a red car for a long time. They look sporty, don't look as dirty as black cars and you can take nice photos of them. I have had a hard time trying to get some good photos of my black GT and my 5 black cats!

Believe it or not Jocatch, I understand. Prior to the recent acquisitions( ) we had two '05 cars: My torch red GT and my wife's black V6 car. Keeping the V6 car looking good was tough because black is just such a hard color to keep clean. That car had an unfortunate demise when some idiot didn't see traffic stopped in front of him for road work(re-routing) and slammed into the back of it at about 55mph. Glad my wife wasn't badly hurt. Now she's got the Deep Impact Blue V6, and she loves it, but the one drawback is that like black, it shows any dirt, dust, or waterspots easily.

There's something about Red, however....

Yes, red is special. As you may have read in order to buy my new GT, I had to sell my old 1978 Z28 Camaro. It is red. Well, kind of red. When I bought it new in 1978 it was fire engine red and everyone loved it. Now after 34 years of being outisde it is rusty and faded to a orange-red. Back then they didn't have clear coat. Now I expect my red to stay red and sharp for a long time.

Got my VIN on 07/19 for week of 08/06, I ordered mine on 05/30 with 10 priority. The order wasn't picked up RR-6 speed, Brembos, comfort package in charcoal leather with rear camera. Wanted the Track Package, but not the 3.73. Plan to take Route 66 from East-West, wanted more touring gears, not track gearing. I like a longer 1st and 2nd for my type of drvingNot real happy about the long wait

Just got the window sticker and build date today. It is being built 8/8/12. As far as I know the ETA is still 8/18. It is so cool seeing my name on the window sticker!!

Well, it has been almost 10 weeks and still no car. I ordered in the spring and at this rate I won't get till the fall! I called Ford and they said it is in transit but they have no other info. The dealer says he doesn't show that and doesn't know when it is coming. How can you misplace a $37,000 car? This is the 21st century, they should be able to tell me exactly where it is and the ETA.
