Wow, this is an old thread, thanks for re-viving! $190 at www.xenonsupply.com, but I pretty much got the top-of-the-line stuff...upgraded to premium CANbus, and Slim ballasts, 4300k OEM White (brightest). I love them, the light beam is awesome, bright, and wide. Compares to my wife's Audi's OEM HIDs. As a side-note, I also changed the bulbs on the fogs (way too yellow stock) to Höen bulbs, $38, and they look great, too (non-HID).

This seems like a nice cost effective upgrade. Do the auto-on headlight still function as it should? And as for installation, do you have to splice-in (or cut) the factory headlight bulb wiring harness?

Hey - yes, if you get the right kit for your vehicle, and be sure to get bi-xenon (high-low in one bulb), then the 'auto-on' light feature works like normal. No splicing, it all connects properly, via snap-in. You won't believe how bad and weak the stock halogen bulbs are, once you've installed these.

Definitely, the stock ones are poor. I already upgraded a few months ago to a set of Sylvania SilverStar H13 Ultras 4100k (approx $40/pair) and it's a good improvement over the stock bulbs- brighter and much less yellow light. True Xenon HIDs is still the way to go... when these burn out, supposedly in a year since it's not long lasting, then I may go the same route you did.
