Ford Racing forged GT500 wheels
Ford Racing forged GT500 wheels, Conti Extreme DW tires. Front = 19x9, 255/40. Rear = 19x10, 285/35. Same set-up as Boss LS. Thanks to TMS User KN7671 for a smooth transaction. With the lowered suspension, I like the increased footprint and stance.

Thanks, guys! I was holding out and trying to resist wheel/tires, because I really liked my OEM 19" 'nickel' wheels. But those are 8.5" wide, and I need more for mild track duty. So look for my OEM 19s to be listed For Sale on TMS soon!

Thanks, Patrick. In pics the Ford Racing center-caps appear white-ish. But in reality they are really mostly silver, and I thought I would not like them, but now I think I do like them! These wheels have a great grey-metallic finish to them, so they are not silver, and they are not black...but instead a really cool color in between. I can't wait to test the stick of the tires (almost one foot wide each in the rear)! Next track days are Oct & Nov.

So, I'm dying to know - howzit feel now? How does the handling/etc compare with the stock 245/45-19 A/S Pirellis? The stance is killer! Like I said in my PM: congrats, ya done good.

Thanks Ryan/Mike/David/Eric. I really am loving the look of these.
Eric - I had already replaced my OEM 245/45 Pirelli A/S with 255/40 Conti DW summer rubber, and the difference was night and day. With this totally new set-up, the steering is a touch heavier (in a good way), but the rear sticks so tight now. Some more road noise and NVH, though. But overall, it feels like I can take way more speed into corners now. Next track days are in Oct/Nov, we'll see how she goes...
