Lava Vert in the Sun

This is a bit dirty, but it still looked absolutely stunning. I now have seen both the 2010 F150 and the Mustang in Lava Red and there is a big difference. The metal flakes just seem to come alive on the mustang, where they do not really do that as much on the F150. It looks like there was a slight change to the paint.

Also, if anyone knows more about the paint shortage and Lava Red, please share. I am still assured that my order will be made (now on the 11th), but still this paint shortage thing does have me a little worried.

Pic 1: I like the contrast between the Lava flakes and the reflection of the blue sky and the palm trees in the paint.

I meant to take more pictures of the whole car, but I was shooting quickly while I ran after my soon to be 2 year old, very active son.

But the paint looks nice .

Looks really good there. Although, the Pony Package grille/HIDs/V6 front really make it look like it's from CARS in that shot!

It might be a lot less interesting to folks if they called it metallic dark maroon... which is what its starting to look like.

EDIT: Nevermind..
It looks MUCH better in these shots:

I have been trying to get a look at the Lava Red seats in person. One of the local dealers called and said one was just in off of the truck. Well, I could not get there that day, but I said I would come in on Friday. He had called me on Tuesday, and now today, Thursday, he called back and said not to bother coming by because it was sold yesterday. Wow! I really did not want it anyway, but I would have liked to at least see the seat color that I am getting. That really was a quick sale though.
He called me on Tuesday, and by Wednesday it was sold. Wow. Maybe other dealers should take note and order some stock with the Lava Red interior.
