Slow in a Boss?!? hogwash!

 

If somebody was in the business to add these features to a 2012 Boss, I would jump on that,
I don't care about HID headlamps, But message center and Sync. I would defiantly pay to have installed as long as it was a quality install.

 

Me too, but I also feel the headlights are too weak, and would like stronger beams.

 

I guess if you can't sell enough "race cars" you have too add some luxuries. That's going to add a few thousand to the tag.

 

Exactly, I was told by the dealer that I bought mine from that Ford was anticpating a price increase... However the communication did not mention anything about any other changes besides the color and stripe....

 

Why do you constantly have to "start" things?

As for a price increase....I would assume the base mustang is getting these same improvements and I doubt they'll be much of an increase.

I already knew a month ago the price was gonna increase. Let's see how much my source was right....increase is to be around $1800 ON THE BOSS 302.

 

I'm all for it, and I doubt the added features will cost more than 2k...(i.e. 'thousands')

 

Electronics package alone is 2300.00

 

"start" things? Ford probably won't build all the bosses they planned to sell, so it only makes sense that they liven up the pot with these upgrades that held some buyers back from buying a boss. ...and stop being so hyper sensitive.

 

Rebates on the '12?

 

I agree. SHELBYGT500 is only having fun. The reintroduction of the Boss got me back into a Mustang. But still, it is still only one of many Mustangs, it is not sacrosanct (whatever that means). If we cannot have fun with each other doing some ribbing about an inanimate object, (and what do that mean?), then lets all buy Camaros and take ourselves and our cars too seriously.

Okay, off of the soapbox. SHELBYGT500 - what do you think is the big price difference between the Boss & the GT500 apart from the engine? Is it the "comfort options" that come standard on the GT500 that are not available for the Boss?

When you figure out how to get the wife's agreement on that, let me know. I justified this one as the 2 yr old grandson's first car. However, we do have a new 3 month old granddaughter. It never hurts to plan ahead.

 

If the '12 Boss had come with the toys I don't think I would have ditched my Bimmer for it. I love the rawness. Bet they add sound deadening for the rear as well. Enjoy!
