So in theory I can get a matching 0264? That would be very cool.

Not worried

I hope to get a low number, but am more exicted about getting the car. Scheduled build date the week of Feb 27 and I have VIN assigned.

School bus yellow with all available options (not many I know)

Same boat as you, except skipped the cover and mats based on the quality. I suspect ours may be going down the line next to each other.

That's what makes starting over kind of screwy.

Cool. I am near the plant and have a friend that works there. Hoping to get in to see it built.

As for the mats/cover. I figured if i ever sell it, it would be desireable to the new owner.

I don't intend to sell the car for a very long time.
If you can manage a tour, and don't mind one more, please let me know. I would love to see the car on the line. Thanks.

Unless your car is #1 or #2 for resale purposes I don't understand why you would want a low build number. There are always manufacturing problems that get worked out over time as more cars are built and the last few cars that come off the line will always be the better built than the ones before as the assemblers not only get more familiar with the product but the engineers make the product better as the first ones hit the streets and the problems get back to them.

I generally agree. But there are other numbers that are cool, like a favorite number you may have, 302, etc.

Regarding the quality, there will be only minor changes to the manufacturing process over last year, so any "kinks" in the manufacturing process have likely been worked out over the past year already. But to your point, there are some differences that could affect the build or the part quality themselves as they start production.

Oh, there are kinks. My car arrived with one side of fender bolts loose. Think that was improved as the build rolled along. Heck, now I think about it, that alone should entitle this poor Canadian to an Owner's Kit. And yes, I do harp on...

I wouldn't mind snagging #72...

Remember the horror last year with the non satin trim around the dash vents? Also the flattened exhaust pipe not being present on the first few Boss produced, will make these unique and rare for those that care. Those are 2 early production run examples, who knows what the 2013's will bring?

I don't think the non-satin trim was that big of a deal, otherwise I would have kept mine. At least I've got pics to prove it happened.

Sweet, batman48195! I know you have a friend at the plant and all, but I can still track it for you. PM me with your dealer's name and order number if you'd like.
