My car has been sitting now for 23 days at Ramp 51P.

Pray tell what type of reason could keep the car there?

Quality hold?

What couldn't be fixed in 23 days?

If it couldn't be fixed in 23 days do I even want it?

Similar situation. Car was built 5/2 and as of 5/18 still not shipped.
Is there a site you can check to see shipping/delivery status knowing the VIN? My checks have all be phone calls to individuals.

 

Your dealer can look and see............I forgot the name of the Ford system....

 

Same sutuation here - my LS was built on April 20 but was not shipped - quality hold according to ythe dealer - supposedly it was released for shipment last Tuesday - is this a tranny issue ?

Maybe they're in queue waiting for more cars going to the same region so there's a full train car or something?

 

Not sure of issue but I have a gt on hold and it's an auto so doubt it's the tranny

Who Had a Build Week After 25 Apr and Has Received their Boss?

Built on 4/26 and same situation. Dealer also told me it was a Quality hold.

 

Maybe this is the same reason that my (presumably Q1) LS has not received a VIN yet. It woiuld seem that if there are cars stuck for whatever reason in front of it, then no impetus to throw additional cars into the build queue. I started a similar thread to soo if ANYONE received an LS VIN in May. I will be very curious to see if anyone did. My dealer just says that my LS will be in the next "build batch". Misery loves company!

My LS was built the week of April 25th. Arrived at dealer (Dallas) on Thursday, May 19th.

 

My car sat on ramp 51 for almost two months! Mine was finished being built on 2/23 and I received it on 4/25. And there was no quality check on mine. The story I received was that it was a shipping (trucking?) issue. If it was not for my dealer calling the rep and getting a "rush" on it, I am sure it would have been even longer before it was delivered... Car is amazing though!

By my count, including the OP, there are 6 people who's cars were built during the week of April 25th who have reported in here. It's interesting that 2 of them (1 LS, 1 base) have received their cars. But no one even acknowledged those two reports. If they got their cars, how can there be a "universal" hold on Boss' from that build week forward? I've just heard too many 3rd, 4th & 5th hand stories like this to take it seriously without some kind of legitimate documentation.

As for 2006mach1's car, that was a first or second week build. Those cars ALWAYS take a long time to get delivered. Same thing with the 2007, 2010 & 2011 GT500's.

edit: In another thread an additional LS owner reports that his was built the week of Apr 25 and it has been delivered as well. So that's a 50% delivery rate based on those who have replied in this forum.

Just got a msg from my dealer, the car is on a Railcar and on its way. Eta 6/4

 

Well my car had a busy day yesterday,

It moved after 27 days from Ramp 51, to Ramp 5P, then it got onto a trailer moving via convoy to Ramp 5M New Boston, MI and was handed over to CSX!

So maybe tomorrow it will show up with a Boxcar number......

 

I hope this is a trend
