Welcome to the club. I've got a second quarter car with no scheduled production date yet. Hell, we still have 1Q cars waiting for VINs.

Be patient and get comfortable.

You should at least be able to get what quarter the car is scheduled for from the dealer. Have them call their zone rep and find out that information

Heck, I still have 1st quarter car that was built and ready to be shipped on February 23rd, and the car still sits at the plant waiting to be delivered!

i have this feeling that there are a lot of folks out there that think they have ordered a boss and the dealer didn't have any allocations hence several posts i have seen here and other places where they don't eve know an allotment quarter. I personally explained how the process for allocation works to four dealerships on my hunt that swore to me they could order me a car and you needed no allocation. the dealerships that know what they are doing know what quarter the cars are due, you cant have an allocation and not know when it is being built to my understanding. being told you have allocation comes with the quarter build details. some one correct me if i am wrong there.

Somewhat. For some reason my dealer had a lot of trouble getting this info. Not sure if he was just being lazy or really couldn't get it. I had to call FCS and escalate a claim. Which resulted in a call back from the zone rep with assurances that they have a 2nd Q allocation and due to be built in April, barring any production holds. It was very frustrating from Jan to march when everyone had build dates and Q allocations and I didn't. I pm'd Deysha yesterday and am waiting for a response. Hopefully I will hear some good news!

You can have an allocation and not know when it is being built. It isn't the dealers fault either. My understanding of how the system works is that the zone rep knows the allocation details and passes that along to the dealers in his/her zone. So if the zone rep doesn't convey the message correctly, or not with all of the details, then the dealer may be saying "well we have an allocation so I can order you this car" while not actually knowing their build quarter. On the flip side there are also dealers who think they can order this car allocation or not...and they truly don't get it, but think they do for sure.

I didn't know what quarter mine was until I got a VIN. Yeah, it was a frustrating time, but I had a lot of trust in my dealership when they told me not to worry.

Just like yours, but may be the only CO in Alaska.

What are most people getting on their boss. I'm pretty sure most aren't ordered stripped down.
