2009 smart car It's my wife's but I have had some fun driving it around now and then. Took it to Limerock (not on track that day) for an event earlier this year!

I don't mean to offend you or any other Smart car owners, but I really don't like em! I saw one come around a corner and I thought it was gonna roll. How do they handle? I secretly vowed to never let one pass me ever!

Haha I make fun of my wife all the time for driving a smart car. Surprisingly though it handles pretty well. It's built by Mercedes and for what it is its fairly good. The transmission is god awful as it is ridiculously slow (it's a single clutch automated gearbox). But handling is just fine and it stops on a dime

I would never buy one for myself, but its what my wife wanted. We have a grand cherokee too as a third car, so plenty of capability to haul stuff too

My daily driver.....won't be long before we are all driving electric. The technology is finally here to make this a real option. At the very least it offsets my carbon footprint.

You should have waited til they were in your price range!!

Here's my two beaters while I'm here in Spain...

2001 Opel Vectra DTI - aka the "Elegance" - 40+mpg

1993 Toyota HiAce - aka the "Man Van". Its sole purpose is to transport my entire shop to functions on base.... and lunch.
Seats 9+ uncomfortably, has no a/c or radio, the passenger door handle and doesn't work, and the window is a sheet of plexiglass. But it was free.
