Red/black not black/red.

 

Duh, old age moment! I read Black - Red Boy they will let anyone buy a Boss, scary.

 

Although I ordered kona blue I think the red/black is going to look the best on the Boss. I've owned a couple of red cars before but never a blue one so blue it is for me. Also while I like the silver/red LS the black/red LS is sex on wheels!

 

I understand....

 

Every color combination is gonna look sweet in person, each will make a statement and give its owner an identity.

Picked up my plates today (renewal + new plate design) for my vehicle, I'll be transferring them to the RED & BLACK BOSS 302 when it gets here, looks like a good match.

First of all, thanks for the warm welcome.

Yes, that is my 1969 boss 302. Tried using the garage function here on the board, but it seems most of my pictures could not load due to MB constraints.

Your cornhuskers license plate looks like it will be a perfect match on your red Boss.
Should be interesting with the Big Red now part of the Big Ten.

My friends are urging me to go with RED w WHITE, I considered it, but RED & BLACK will look better with the Black trimmed Spoiler, Wheels, etc..

We will be friends everyday of the year, except, when the HUSKERS areMICHIGAN!

 

I agree about the black stripes and think the red/black is going to look the best. So you're getting red not orange now? I'm thinking more and more about painting my roof blue and swapping my white stripes with black.

 

I might see if I can find a hood like what's on the 302S and have that painted kona blue. And the vents on the pics of the orange one...I need those white. So now I have to wait and see what I can find in regards to that hood. It's nothing that I plan on doing right away, but maybe somewhere down the line

 

I guess the white Bosses are going to be rare.

 

RED it is-->

The Blue BOSS at the show had only one problem ("IMO") White HOOD White STRIPES and White ROOF, It ruins the DARK-BOLD BADASZ statement that the DARK BLUE demands.

Now if I was planning on track only, for visual effect, it would stand out and be very noticeable, For the street it will also stand out and look like one of those cars you see running around with but-ugly bold letters on the top portion of the windshield + some more crap on the rear window as well.

I'm removing the HOOD tape and either painting the ROOF or if possible to make a perfect match, a wrap for the ROOF.

When and if I sell it, the new owner can put it back to stock.

Now please, if we all walked into a showroom full of different colored Mustangs we would all have different opinions as to what is best, so don't be offended by my remarks, I know not many like RED, just look at the poll results, Blue is very strongly desired-->

I also have a Performance White Boss being built next week. IMHO, that is the "classic" color. Besides, I didn't want to attract undue road attention other than the 4 exhaust outlets without the attenuation disks.
