On the parking deal, I stopped by for a Five Guys burger today, the folks there know me, as I've been about a once-per-month regular for a long while, and they saw my new car, came out to look at it, manager and all, so back inside getting that burger, I was talking to one of the guys at the counter, and somebody was parked next to me, and they were having a conversation with somebody standing between the two cars. (young man and two young women.) I had my back to it, but suddenly my friend at the counter leans left, graps the PA mic, and says "Get off the car!" I turned around to see the young man stepping a little away from my ride. Friend at the counter says, "Man, they just don't have no respect. I don't know if he touched it or not, but he was just too danged close. You just don't lean on other peoples' rides... Rude. Plain rude."
It's nice to have friends looking out for me...so yeah, I know what you mean about parking the car! At work, I use the corner park place, way against the curbing on the side, and a friend parks next to me. I hate door dings...
I've considered tall traffic cones, and police crime scene tape to ward off nit-wits. Won't even consider going to Walmart, Target, etc.
