A few days ago I stumbled on a list of running production changes Ford had done to the MT82, but forgot to save the link. Anyone happen to have that list? I remember that there was a change to the 2nd gear synchros on 8/31/2011 which I think is my problem (meaning, mine was built before that).

I'd like to see that too. Mine was built on 6/10/11 and my only complaint was some grinding into 2nd gear and sometimes 4th.

that is what gets me, they knew there were issues and the made changes to address them. what are they doing about those of us with cars from before the changes were made? mine was built in March 2011.

Well, only some cars made before 8/31 will have problems, most will be fine. For those of us with problems we'll have to go to a dealer and I'd hope they will do whatever it takes to make it right. Up to, and including, swapping in a new transmission.
