Trade value for 13 Boss 302
I've got an opportunity to grab a loaded 14 GT500 at invoice. The dealer will give me $36,500 for my 13 Boss with 11,000 miles. Is that a fair value or should I be expecting more? Anyone have access to auctions to see what these are bringing?

I think he can give you a little more for your Boss. Think for a minute about what they are going to price it at on there lot. Its going to be real close to sticker. You can't find Bosses new or used. If a supercharged mustang is what you want then save yourself about ten grand and put a charger on that Boss and have the best mustang you could ever drive. Ask me how I know.

If I keep the Boss it would be NA. Getting a GT500 for invoice is pretty unheard of though. It's really hard to gauge used value on a Boss because they're all over the place. I figured private party sale value would be in the $39 to $40k range. I've saving about $2k in taxes trading the car.

I wonder how fun the GT500 is to drive? Have you driven one yet? I like the tall gearing it supposedly has, I hate the Boss's first gear, but the GT500's tranny seems as bad or worse than the Boss's.

I have tried to follow a GT500 at Summit Main, might be a different story at Shenandoah, but he was able to out corner and accelerate me. He ofcourse had the track pack and the nicer tires, but I really think it would be a formidable track car.

Not sure where you heard the tranny on the GT500 was as bad as the Boss. I've owned both a 2012 Boss and now a 2013 GT500. no comparison... GT500 tranny is slick. the helper spring is what takes some getting used to. once you're used to it... no issues.

When i traded my 2012 Boss the same dealer i bought it from gave me $39,800 on trade. i bought the car at sticker for $43k and change. You can get more for it on trade than what was offered PLUS you have one of the best colors!!

Yes, everything but Shaker Pro
Well I only got to drive it home about 15 miles. The clutch release point is different than the Boss and going to take a little getting used to. I'd say it comes off a little more refined than the Boss. I need to be some miles on it before any real spirited driving takes place. The glass roof is pretty awesome.

I just looked at a 2012 Perf White Boss, Build #3077, at Bluebonnet Motors in New Braunfels, TX. It does Not have a Torcen/Recaro option and does have 16,000 miles. Looked like the mufflers had been swapped out with different tailpipes. Asking price $39,995.

I think you made the right choice. I think the trade offer was decent as well. You could probably could've gotten a few extra grand at least private sale, but that's a pain, you're paying for convenience.
Love the Grabber GT500, it's been my desktop background for a long, long time. I'm sure you'll love everything but the gas mileage. Congrats.

$36.5K from a dealer doesn't sound bad at all. I'd say it leaned towards the side of generous from what I was seeing several weeks ago. (I was curious to see what mine would go for and that was the low end of the private party range.)
Congrats on the new GT500! If you're going to give up a Boss, that's the way to do it.
