I actually like the idea of getting the Track Key functionality later rather than now. In a way it will give me a 'new' car in 5-years. Hopefully it will be possible.

Had my red key installed two weeks after getting her! Love it and only use the red key now!

To answer your specific questions, contact your dealer, or email/write/call Ford directly;

http://www.ford.com/help/contact/

Order the voucher from Tousley Ford, and then whenever you want it installed you should be able to take it to a Ford dealer, even years from now. Why the passage of time should affect a dealers ability to install an electronic update to the Boss ECU is beyond me. It makes no sense for Ford to shutdown the file servers that host the file(s) to download to the dealer performing the install.

Is this a viable option to waiting until the 5/60 warranty expires to have the Track Key software installed?
That question would better be posed to a Ford rep with knowledge of the product and warranty. Good luck with that.

Track Key does not void your warranty nor does it reduce it to 3/36.

If something powertrain related breaks during the first 5/60, and it has nothing to do with Track Key, Ford still covers your warranty.

If something powertrain related breaks during the first 3/36, and it is determined to be BECAUSE of Track Key, then Ford Racing rather than Ford covers your warranty, but there will be absolutely no difference to you.

It's only if something powertrain related breaks BECAUSE of Track Key after 3/36 and before 5/60 that there's any issue at all, and the likelihood of that happening is nil.

I was told (by Ford a year ago) the TK would reduce/void my 100K CPO warranty
.....CPO warranty was the main reason I bought the car from a Ford dealer

IDK, if that has changed...
