Torsen Differential & Recaro Option Opinion's.

Actually I'm in the same boat, I doubt it'll never make the track - however I am more tempted to with this car than my GT/CS (modded).
I go to choose my options shortly, I am going to get the seats and the Torsen package. Someone hinted on it earlier...get the performance stuff from the factory..if the seats arent comfortable for the daily driving, GT guys will be looking to scoop them up fast. They love moddding their GTs to look like something else *cough* Shelby - *cough* Bullitt - *cough* GT500.
I hope this helps. Just wish that I could see a full list of all available options now with pricing! I want to see how much overtime Im going to have to put in for!
I'd definitely check the box for both. Even if you don't drive this car and track it, I think the options will carry their weight if you sell it down the road. Take a look at Ford GT's for example. Four options total (top stripe, side stripe, wheels, and McIntosh stereo). People want the "4 option" cars. I suspect the Boss 302 will be the same.
Also, a rough guess on pricing for the options will be around $1895. FRPP sells Torsen T2 differentials currently, and they go for $6-700. Seats are pretty basic, so I don't see them fetching a premium, so I figured $1200 for them.

This has been my thinking also - that there will be a very limited number of options and if proven true - this will reduce the number of interested parties. Of course, I may be way off base!
I'm getting recaros & torsen, I sat in several cars with recaro like seats this past weekend and they were very comfy, so I no longer have to worry about making the wrong decision.

Good call! I'll be looking at the Boss 302 live in Sacramento, CA this weekend - so excited to see it

The car cover is NOT a dealer installed option per my dealer. He stated the car cover was only a factory option on the Boss so we ordered mine with it and the floor mats-
I ordered the options also, floor mats and cover with the seats and diff.
I figured that the mats and cover will be hard to get, the 'real' ones later.
Now the wait! But it will be worth it for next spring/summer.

So, of all the people who have "successfully" order, you don't have a price yet? How do you order a vehicle and not know the price it's going to cost you? I don't understand why the wait to release the price from Ford...
You have good questions. I have the 2001 5.0 that I put together with the
5.0 Cammer crate motor and know that prices and parts that are in the new
Boss. I am working with a dealer that I trust and they are doing right for me I feel.
The MSRP is going to be set and not much will change for those who are wanting to
get the Boss. I went through this with the first 2003 Cobras and this looks like
a repeat with the intro and lack of info, with the waves of production going for
two years. I could wait for a year and save some, but I do not think that I would
save enough to offset the use of the Boss for that time. In Alaska, there is a
short season to enjoy this type of car and I really want to have a great summer
next year. I am sure there are others with other reasons, but this is mine.

As much as I want to know about the 2012 Boss now, it won't really matter to me anyway. I won't be able to order one over here and I won't be back in the States until May. Soooo... it would seem appropriate to wait for the 2013 Boss to shows it head with options and paint colors seeing as how I'm still on the fence about the color pallete and stripe choice. If they don't change, I can always get a 2012 at that point before the order banks close. If I do like, better than 2012, I can place an order first thing in November, and it won't mean much more waiting than I am being forced to do now anyway. Seems win win to me. I get a Boss either way.
i know it seems a little crazy to do that...but i want it. But it is understood the car HAS to be less than a GT500 and I can afford one...but i would prefer if it was less obviously
I just want to know the pricing so I can actually decide whether I want one or not. I can't make a decision without it. I need to know the price so I can determine if the difference in price over stripping my old car back to stock and selling/trading it in is worth it or not. Not from a "can I afford it standpoint" but from a "how much more money do I want to spend on Mustangs that go down in value every year" kind of thing. I'm willing to spend, but there's a limit.
Plus I really want to see what the LS price is because I've been offered my dealers at MSRP. Seems no one else in this area is interested. For now though. That might change tomorrow or any day for that matter.

I didn't say it was a dealer option, but something you could go to the dealer with a part number and pick up at the service dept. if you so choose after the fact. Can't quite do that with seats or a Torsen.
If you decide you aren't interested, I am. So far the only dealer that I have been able to get to tell me anything has said they want $10K over. I'm not doing that.
