Last year I coulndt get down the 1/4 all day at the track due stock shifter keeping me locked out of 3rd and 4th when shifting over 7k rpms.
Took the Boss today for Test N Tune.
MGW shifter and transmission worked absolutely perfect, I didnt even try power shifting, just quick throws.

Good pass. Try holding out a bit longer in 2nd and getting into 4th earlier. 3rd gear ate up some time. Didn't finish the traps at the top of 4th. Shift points will shame a few points.

 

Someone at the track said my car seemed to leave the light and fall on its face between 1st and 2nd

 

Saw that. You had great traction and it bogged a little. What rpm did you launch from? Maybe try just a bit more next pass.

Its a stock Boss except for MT/ET Street drag radials, I upgraded shifter to a MGW and I installed a Steeda Upper Control Arm to reduce any wheel hopping.( which worked great also).

 

I launched at 5,000 and still no wheel spin, between the track, tires, and piion angle set correctly it seemed to hook like crazy.
My best runs were WITHOUT the Trackey..

Yes I won, but only by reaction time heres timeslip, He has a 2007 GT4.6 engine 3v, with some nice bolt ons, Plus hes a great driver, competition between us yesterday was fun as heck..

Ok the. You probably just gotta work on your throttle when launching. Hard launch might be pulling you foot back a little when it hooks that hard. I would put that camera on the cluster and record shift points for a few runs.
