TIME AT INTERMEDIATE RAIL YARD
Guys,
For those who have received their cars, what is the normal amount of time for a rail car to wait at an intermediate shipping point? In my case Louisville, KY, where the rail car has been since 0137 AM on Monday. As of Tuesday afternoon, its still there (36 hours so far). Understand that they are probably loading new trucks on to that train since the Ford Assembly truck plant is nearby.
So what was your experience?

No, speed calc is irrelevant at this point, since it spends the majority of its time sitting in yards, though that should change since it left Louisville. The dealership says that it doesn't stop much now, and pretty much roles right on through Atlanta, then Greenwood, SC and offloads in Dixiana, SC. The dealership has already called the rail offload point and told them to rush the car. We think we'll see it Friday, barring train maintenance problems or other issues.
Really curious to see what build # it is...

Dave, tell me about the ducts install. Did you have to cut out that tab near the washer fluid bottle to run the duct into the fascia opening? Any thing else that was odd?
Also now have my trans cooling scoop waiting on the workbench. And the new brake fluid, BBS wheels, Nitto tires, etc.

Mark, Friday can't come too soon. Nice that your dealer put a "Hot" code on it so you'll have it by the weekend. If you haven't already signed up in an effort to get the discount, sign up now so that your name will at least be in the computer when your dealer checks for incentives.

Good advice. And have the $750 coupon in hand!
Just called CSX. Still enroute to Atlanta since 0415 this morning. About 400 miles to ATL from Louisville. I'm thinking 10 hours. Should be in ATL at about 3 this afternoon or so.

That's for sure. If it hits Atlanta by this evening, I think I'll have it Friday. Allegedly, the train generally just pauses briefly in Atlanta before some of the cars are moved onto Greenwood, SC.

1. When you take of the splash guard, you can push the fog light inserts out from behind, be careful you don't scrape your knuckles.....ask me how I know. You do not have to remove the fascia.
2. You do have to cut off the right side fog light mount to get the hose around the washer fluid tank.
3. You will have to remove a couple of inches of wire from the hose on one end to get them over the new shields and you will have to tape or rough up the plastic fog insert to get the hose so it won't pull off. Make sure you test the integrity of the clamped hose before you reinsert the part into the fascia.
4. I raised the horns on the left side to gain clearance for the hose.
5. You will have to trim the edge of the wheel wheel liner on both sides.
refer to Cloud9's images on the BossMustang sight.
Any more detail, call me. You have my number.
