Got my build week and VIN # from Deysha today! I was kind of surprised because my allocation was a Q4 and I was expecting the same kind of delays a lot of folks on here have been experiencing.

Excellent news! I was originally told Q3 then bumped to Q4. This gives me hope maybe I'll be bumped back. Sure would like to have the car while it's still warm/dry enough to drive it.

I just dont understaind how a Q4 has a build date and Vin but my Q3 car still has no Vin or build date..............Kind of starting to drive me nuts!

Ordered my V-6 convertible 7/10. Got my Vin today from Deysha. Build date of 8/1 and Eta of 8/13. I think that is amazing! It sort of like it was meant to be! Thanks Deysha for the reply and good news! Bill

I called again today but still no Vin or build date

Has anyone with a Q3 got a Vin or build date yet.

 

all I know is the dealer called and said my LS would be here the in of Aug. I emailed Deysha and no vin yet. The car was ordered late Dec. with a 3rd qtr. delivery. I have my fingers crossed. Deysha if the vin shows up let me know. Thanks

 

This is the problem with the system. Dealers try to get customer's hopes up by promising things that they honestly have no control over, nor know anything about. They just guess and tell them what they want to hear so they will buy a car. Hope your car gets built soon, but don't hold your breath either for your own sake.

 

Funny but I have a lot of faith in the dealer they have been honest and up front with me , they had no reason to call me. I was looking for a LS from other dealers that made comments on this form that they had cars. In total I contacted six. They were all bait and switch ,, I will stick with my dealer and support them now and in the future. Deysha is also a great Ford asset.

 

Has anyone had any luck this week for build dates/Vin# on Q3 cars?

Does the above reference to "color" have to do with Blaze Yellow?

 

That's how I interpreted it...if I have it right, the reason my car was bumped up in production was because it is a Yellow Blaze, which is being done away with, and an actual retail order from a dealer. I checked yesterday with FCS (the call center, not Deysha, I thought I would cut her a break, lol), and mine is in the process of being built (supposedly on the "trim line"). My ETA is 26 August....I wonder how close our cars will be in the build number sequence....maybe back to back?!?

 

Per a note from Deysha today, my "vehicle is in production in Trim Line status. This means the vehicle is in the second stage of production to finish production today. Then it has to be released and wait for shipping".

I talked to my Dealer tonight to tell them I had a VIN and an ETA of 8/20 on my Q4 build. They said that they got a 3rd allocation recently (mine was originally their 2nd of 2) and they "bumped" my delivery date up and their "new" 3rd allocation took my old Q4 build date.

Don't know if this is BS, but I don't care!
