Thanks, Scott....

Just installed the 1/2" side exhaust spacers and they are perfect. The 1/2" hole is 7x the area of the stock disc. I remember that an engineer that designed the system suggested 1/2" would be optimum and it certainly is for me.

Good to know. I have mine sitting in my garage waiting for my Boss to arrive. I'll have the dealer install them before my wife ever sees the car. That was s197ford that made that recommendation and was why I ordered 1/2".

Thanks again Scott!

Didn't know if I should reply in this thread :embarrassed: but thank you all for the nice words. I had fun experimenting with this, gave me something to do.

Dave, I would like to hear what you think of the half inch discs on the highway if you do any highway driving? That is one thing I did not test for. The 7/8 gave me a little drone on my first real trip I took with the Boss on long stretches, not loud enough at all to be annoying or effect hearing but still there in the back round. I do very little highway driving so it is not an issue for me.

Harley, still waiting to hear those 5/8s

The 1/2" diameter hole provides just the right volume increase for me. No drone at highway speeds. Any more exhaust noise would ruin my iPod tunes on the way to the track.

Got my disks yesterday, Thanks Scott. Excellent quality. If anybody needs these, Scott has a few more sets available. Thanks for your time and effort.

Thanks Scott for the discs. Waiting on the Boss to arrive for experimentation.

Here's an experiment for you and others who have the Discs but no BOSS:

Cut a piece of cardboard in the shape of the Disc Scott sent ya, punch a factory sized hole in it, get a vacuum cleaner with a hose, set vacuum to BLOW, duct tape factory Disc to nossel, then the Scott Discs and finally with Discs removed, you will now be able to hear the difference in sound from one to the other,,,OR if you want to take it to the next level, try your leaf blower-->

They DO look great

Scott, I got mine (1/2") a few days ago and plan to install this weekend. They are very nicely made. (I am waiting for the weekend because my wife is going to visit her brother's house and this way she won't see me under the car.) Thanks for such a quality job! Dale

Thanks again guys I did not make them just a little R&D but yes the shop did a great job. I finally measured them and according to a chart I found on the net they are 18 gauge. They should be good for life

Got mine early this week. Scott, this is a great addition to the Boss sound. Thanks a ton.

Do we send you the tickets for loud exhaust?

Scott,

I have received and installed the 1/2" disc and they are sweet! Hopefully sometime soon I will get around to trying out the 3/4" disc.

Btw what does the tabs actually indicate on each one.? They look as if they go on either way.

Thanks so much!!!

I have them facing up, I never saw the original as I was doing paperwork when they took them out at the dealer. My guess is it does not matter. I was even going to have them made without it but it was just as easy to make them look original.
