Sport Mode
On page 18 of our manual, it discusses the use of sport mode, and on page 213 of the drivers manual, 2nd printing, it discusses various modes of AdvanceTrac. Has anyone experimented with this? I can't seem to get any different readings from my gauge package besides "Off."
I haven't been able to find out much about this feature.

2 taps
with foot on brake, two taps of the button get me to 'sport mode'...which allows less invasive ESC. one tap turns off traction control...holding it for 5 seconds kills all the systems (I think that's the way it goes...by memory).
for 'spirited' driving I've been using 'sport mode'

This may be the first thing you've posted that I agree with.
I shut AdvanceTrac all the way down 99% of the time. The 5 seconds usually allows the RPMs to fall off into idle range anyway.
I have used the Sport Mode and noticed (for the first time) the message that pops up saying something about the 1-4 shift. it disappears before I get a chance to read it completely.

I'm new to tracking my car. I love tracking the car in sport mode. It has saved my *** more than once. Bringing my Boss home in 1 piece, unscathed is my first, second and third priority!. If it costs me 0.5 second, I'm glad to give it up for the extra help keeping my car on the track! Sport mode is awesome! It gives you enough room to work the car but not so much it gets out of hand. Great for us Novice!

Good advise guys, beginners should even see better times with sport mode. Unless you have many, many hours on track it would not be a good idea to turn it off (or unless you have have the cash to buy a new one on Monday).

You woke up an 11 year old thread that was taking about Advance Trac Sport mode with the directions to change the steering feel. Totally different thing, not even close to what they were talking about.

First off newbie! Who the hell is Siber Express? Well to you, he just happens to be one of the senior members of this forum, and second, what he's talking about is the last activity on this thread was from over 11 years ago... Therefore, perhaps you ought to pay closer attention as to what your pressing the submit button on, before calling out a senior member of this forum...

Guys, I know it can be easy to pile on the new guy but cut people at least a little slack....you never know someone's background or who they are...sure we watch out for trolls and spammers but just think that sometimes someone new to the hobby or maybe even not as informed as you come in and want to participate and learn....give them a little grace period and try to be welcoming. Correction doesn't mean you have to be gruff or do any "old thread shaming". Old threads aren't old to new members....and maybe he didn't realize it was old as this place can be a bit overwhelming to new members who have never been here, it's been many years and this is a lot of information to take in. Please try to welcome new members and help guide them in a nice way....if it turns out someone is hard headed and looking for trouble then we don't have a problem with the community treating them a bit harshly but for the most part someone with a thread count under 20 shouldn't be attacked or given greif unless they are posting spam. We have a lot of guys here who are seasoned vets with a lot of knowledge...just remember that everyone doesn't posses such knowledge and we always have new people coming into the hobby.
