Does anyone think that it would be possible to take the quarter windows from a Cobra Jet, have them painted black and put those in your Boss - thoughts comments?

Also - what about doing the mirrors in black as oppossed to the body color?

Just trying to think of some minor mods to set if off from the others - lol

The cobra jet uses silver horse racing flush mount louvers. You can buy them painted already. They look great I had them on my 10.

 

FWIW, I never did anything to the quarter windows on my GT500, but always loved the idea of the old school blank panels on the '65 GT350 R's. Obviously they were there just to reduce unneccessary weight from the OE ventilation louvers; which is why the street versions still had the louvers.

So when my daughter's Terlingua came home I was VERY surprised how much I missed the extra field of vision they provide! It is so bad that I'm considering removing the black-out panels on her car before she leaves the nest for good......

You could always use alum color window tint and have the best of both worlds...the "look" and the "view".

 

I'm all for one off slight mods...but I try to go for the "is that SUPPOSED to be like that" look...nothing real radical. Subtle but different.

 

I think black mirror shells would look good. It's an easy an inexpensive mod to make since you can buy them pre painted. If you don't like it just install the original ones. I'm not into the side louvers although the SHR ones look nice.

 

The SHR louvers are awesome! We have them on the wife's 05. Visibility is reduced but more than adequate.
