Road Trip?

So, I drove the Boss to AZ to drop off a snake. I think it was about 750 miles round trip. I pretty much went straight down the I-10, and made very good time.

What has been your longest road trip in the Boss, and any comments?

I have to say, the seats were very comfortable on such a long drive. My wife loves the seats too. Gas mileage was between 19 and 21, which is not bad considering the speed limit is 75 in AZ, and I was cruising slightly faster. At speed, the Boss feels pretty well composed.

Here is a pic, just before we set off out of Corona (ate lunch at the Kingfish). This car says Boss on the side, the orange one, but has like an 08 rear end.

That was my first thought, but usually they have a black number up front, this one did not, but I guess they could have removed it.

About 1500 miles to Track Attack in Utah and then back home to Phoenix. Another 1200 to California a few months later to Mustangs on the Bay in San Diego. No problems...averaged 22 mpg.

I was thinking... guys that first one is most definitely not a Saleen PJ. lol
Now the one above though, Oh yes!

I read about it where they said it could possibly be the "real" new boss when it came out.... little did they know what was coming out next. lol

I'm glad to see so many Boss Mustangs getting some miles under their shoes!

Last year I got together with a group of Team Shelby members and did a bunch of runs in TN and NC. We had a blast and we are doing it again this year before heading over to Charlotte for the 50th. One member, with over 800HP, commented on how well the Boss' suspension took the turns vs the Shelbys.

Here is a video of us on the Tail of the Dragon

I drove the car home (SF Bay) from LA where I bought it. To me, a 250-300 mile drive the day you purchase a car is perfect. Wearing a nice grin the whole way. I wish I had brought a ratchet and a jack to remove the exhaust plates, then it would've been even better. Guess I know for next time.

Other than that, I've just done drives to Buttonwillow and Thunderhill in it. If I were to take a super long trip, I'd probably drive one of my other more comfortable cars (with more storage).
