Replacing stock rims

Hey fellas. I'm looking at replacing the stock rims but swaping the tires over to the new ones. The wheels I'm looking at come in 19x8.5 and 19x10. I'm thinking that shouldnt be an issue as far as swaping the tires since they are only a half inch difference but I wanted to get some opinions.

The offsets for the front come in +15 and +38 and for the rear they come in +20 and +42 so I'm guessing +38 and +42 would be the way to go.

I'm not good with all this offset stuff and just want a flush look. Dont want my wheels sinking into the fender well.

My other concern is that 8.5 up front is too narrow. What are your thoughts. I'm also about to order some 18s for the track so I'm not too worried about it unless its going to make the car handle like crap on day to day driving.

There are too many wheel options to go with something narrower. If I was going to spend a lot of money on really nice wheels I'd go with 9.5 F and 10.5 R. The stock tire width will fit on those and then you can always use wider tires from there.

Yeah. I hear ya. It's hard finding a shop that will deliver wheels to an FPO address though. And I'm not looking to spend a lot because the roads here are horrible and there is a good chance I'll mess them up at some point while I'm here. Thats one of the reasons I'm looking to pack away the stock rims.

Tire Rack and Discount Tire will ship to FPO or APO addresses. I did the same thing during my overseas tours.

Yeah. I took a look at those already and their selection for the Boss sucks.

I was hoping you were closer because if you wanted to part with the stock rims, I'd be willing to remove at least one of the fronts. But shipping them overseas would be a huge pain.

I'm looking to keep the stock rims stored in case I ever get rid of the car.

Oh you had to ask and ruin the party didn't you. They weigh approximately:

F 19x9 29.9 lbs.
R 19x10 31.7 lbs

Ford Racing states they are forged wheels so while not light, they are a couple of pounds each lighter than the stock wheels, they are very strong. More info can be found at the link below.

CCW Wheels lists their SP16a as 24.3# for 19 x 11. Forged I plan on either 10 or 10.5 square set up. I would go the Enkei route but don't like their rear offset.

I do like those Rick, but I'm trying to go with something a little less common on Mustangs. The Forgestars are nice also but not sure I want to spend that much with the road conditions here.

I might just go with track wheels for now and not worry about the 19's.
