Howdy Brewmaster, I can't find these at Levittown website. Do you have a part reference and are they a 'bolt on' fit?

What radio? I have 2500 miles on my Boss listening to the sweet sound of that Roadrunner engine. Maybe I should roll the windows up every once in a while and listen to the radio. NOT

Not a Brewmaster but a brew drinker here. :-)

The best deal I could find for the GT500 mufflers was at LateModelRestoration.com. Link to product below. Use 'WINDSOR' coupon code and your net cost is $294.49 shipped.

I just got mine installed. They are a direct replacement for the stock muffler from Ford Racing. The sound is a bit louder and deeper, they lack the small center outlet pipe, and the outlet pipe is the same diameter all the way from the muffler to the end - they look nicer from the rear.

The trick (that of course I didn't figure out until almost too late) is to remove the front muffler bracket, slide it all the way onto the muffler so you can reach the center bolt from underneath, and then attach to the car as a unit. Wish I would have known this before wrestling with the first one for half an hour.

Here is a link to the GT500 mufflers at Levittown Ford:

A little cheaper but I did not check shipping so it may be about the same.

Those are the ones I bought and they sound wonderful. I had to pay $105 to ship them to Alaska but still were worth it!

Those and the LateModelRestoration ones above are the same mufflers. If Levittown's shipping is less than $24.99 then you're money ahead.

I didn't see a reply to this question, and wonder if a couple of you guys that have done the GT 500 muffler mod/upgrade could answer it?
Actually, I started looking for a little more idle rumble for my 2012 Boss, but right now am focusing on my wife's 2011 GT Convertible with the 5.0 engine that needs a little bump up in sound, especially at idle.
I'm hoping the GT500's would do the job without still being too quite, but without making too much racket for her either?
Cheers,

That`s funny... I have made it a point not to turn on the radio.. I will never be able to file a claim if it does not work.. but the exhaust sounds GREAT!!

Here is what it sounds like with GT500 mufflers, wide open side pipes and off-road H-pipe. (oh, and Kooks 1-7/8" longtubes)

Killer sound! .....for the track.
I was more interested in no open side pipes and GT 500 mufflers by them selves on a Boss or 5.0 GT engine.
Cheers,

That's exactly what I needed!
I'll slide a set of these on my wife's GT convertible at the first opportunity.
I don't think I'll put then on the Boss though,....the sidepipes with 3/4" punch-outs in the blocker plates do the trick nicely, both for both city and for highway driving.
Cheers,

No inner pipe, and it sounds a tad bit more throaty , blends well with the side's. I still say everyone should have QTP's. Make's life easier when it come to the sound.

QTP electric exhaust cut-out valves. They take the place of the restrictor plates in the side exhaust and allow you to open and close the side pipes from the cabin (or outside the car with a remote).
