Removal of Track Key? Ford Rep?
But it is a product for sale and if your not satisfied something CAN be done......The first option in favor of the Seller, is to try and make the product suit you........ie retry installation etc, if all else fails as with any purcjhase they need to refund you and return your car back to it's original state.........which should return your warranty since the program is no longer registered to your car. It ain't going to be easy but unless the item you paid for (Trackey) specifically states no return then you have rights.
once the TK is installed, the power train warranty goes to 36k miles...
not void just 36k miles...
Even that's not fully correct. With TK installed the warranty drops to 36k miles IF TK is determined to be the cause of the problem. If it's not then the full warranty is in effect.

This is not a court of law. It will be Fords court unless the individual hires an attorney. And ford has plenty on retainer. I'm not going to start the whole TK debate again. I know from past experience with GM. Good luck. They know you most likely won't waste the time or money to sue. I'm hoping I won't have to and Ford will just make good. It's one of those things that we will have to wait and see.
The OP's question was will they reinstate his warranty back to 60 months. Imo, no. you changed the factory tune knowing it would reduce your warranty. In fact, I would say 90% bought there cars like I did - Without a test drive. There was no try it b4 you buy it. Same went for the TK.

it's not been CERTIFIED yet. but I want to know if TK gets removed before I buy do I get the 60k power train warranty reinstated. (it seems to be no)
I see part failures happen when your driving the car not when it's sitting in my garage Monday thru Friday...
and when I'm really have fun, failure possibility increases.
true the Boss has many upgraded & warrantied components (that's why is so expensive) why would I install any part that would increase my chances for a uncovered failure?
Exactly! It would be up to Ford to prove the TK caused the problem. Imagine the marketing nightmare if they were to deny warranty because their own recommended product killed a car. Look how bad a black eye Nissan GTRs got from the transmission issues with launch control. I have complete confidence that Ford has thought this through.

Everyone knows if you put better go parts on your car you will or can void your warranty should something happen, yet people do it all the time and don't look back and don't worry about it. Evey one on here that tracks their car is also in void of their warranty as most warranty's say that if this car was raced on a track and something happened your SOL,again people are doing it all the time.
Go big or go home, run with the big dogs or stay on the porch, you may need to rethink your purchase if your worried about the warranty.

Not to be a ****, but it doesn't sound like the Boss is for you.

and Ford promoted the TK on the internet and youtube.
We all want the protection of a warranty if not why pay so much for a new car?
I'll bet most of the guy's tracking their cars aren't worried about the warranty, as I'm sure it must void it to a degree if something happened or else they wouldn't be tracking them.
Most warranty's are voided anyway if the problem is caused by racing, or beating the **** out of it, or added go faster parts. If your too afraid to do any of those because of the warranty with a car like that, why bother having it??? Just go get a 6 banger and be happy.
By the time we can afford to get me a Boss 302 it will be well out of warranty anyway, so I won't have to worry about it anyway.

To the prospective owner, why don't you just ask Ford about your concerns? Most of what's posted on these forums are just opinions and in some cases educated guesses not fact.

The simple answer is, yes. The Powertrain warranty was never taken away from the vehicle by adding the TracKey. Any concern caused by it would only have a 3yr/36k warranty on it. Go ahead and get your Boss!
