Talked to dealer today. He stated that he has received a delivery date for my Boss. Supposed to arrive there on February 5th. He thought that it would actually be delivered a few weeks after that date. I really hope it comes in later that that. Chances are, I will have to trailer it home if it shows up in February! I would rather drive it home!

 

So you have a build date and VIN? If so, you could use those dates to gauge a potential delivery time. However, no one is really sure yet when one might come in because of potential initial quality check holds.

 

If mine comes that early I will be in shock!!! That may just beat the trailer I ordered to have made. I got my build date of Jan 18 (thanks to a member here). I still feel if it get here by late Feb. I will be very happy. Anyhow when I ordered it I was thinking I would not see it till April or May. Anything sooner is a bonus.

BTW: CAUTION if anyone gets their Boss before mine DO NOT post that as I do not want to buy a new laptop and front window

I have a build date, VIN and a delivery date! Delivery date is supposed to be Feb 5th. Dealer stated that even though I have a delivery date of Feb 5th, it doesn't mean that when it will show up at his place. He said that it would probably be a couple of weeks after Feb 5th as that as what the time frame has been lately for the rest of his vehicles.

 

If mine shows up in February I'll trailer it over to the performance shop and put it on a dyno before trailering it home to look at for a month!

 

Congratulations. That's earlier than I thought the first cars would be delivered. Where are you located?

I don't even have my VIN yet for a first quarter build.

 

Located in western NY. We will have snow on the roads till March here, maybe even longer! Dealer is about 8 miles away but I still would not want to drive it on salty roads and I don't have a trailer either.

 

If it's a first quarter build you should probably have a VIN by now.

Well congrats anyway! You'll be happy it's here "early" rather than waiting around in April wishing it was here. Tough deal for all of us in the North, but a 2nd quarter car might have meant getting it as late as June/July.

Don't worry your neighbors won't think you're when you're in the driveway washing it off in February

 

Just got my delivery date as well: Feb 7th. Build week is still 1/18.
However, neither the dealer nor I think that it will be here that early, still expecting more of a March delivery.

Which dealer are you working with? My brother is first in line for his at Delacy in Lancaster and they haven't told him anything yet.


Here's a question for those in the know - when are they going to do the lottery for the Laguna Seca? He is really looking to get that version.

 

Considering that some folks have already gotten the VIN for their LS, and that my dealer has told me they have allocation for one, they must have already had it. Don;t know if there is only one lotto though or if they are split up throughout the year.

 

Got my VIN, production date (1/17) and ETA to dealer of 1/27!!

 

I'm pretty sure this took place in October 2010. If they don't know they probably didn't get an LS.
