Rear window louvers

What is everyone's thoughts on rear window louvers, was thinking about getting the rear and side louvers I think it makes the boss look badass. I hear the mrt louvers are good ones. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I have considered this for my 2014 GT/CS also. My concern is that I have heard they can rattle when on the highway. That would drive me crazy so I haven't done it.

think they look cool for retro to the 69-70 era, want to keep the car original so im opting out on mine...also for a DD its a pain to clean the back window...depending on what type of louvers you get...

I believe the mrt are of the hinge type so cleaning wouldn't be to big of a deal. Boss man have you had any rattling while driving with the rear louvers on? Are yours hinged or taped? I do like the way they look but I to would like to keep it as stock original as possible but I don't think adding rear louvers would make it any less stock it's just an add on for looks and can be easily taken off

Mine are hinged so cleaning is not an issuie. They also keep the sun out which is a plus. As for any rattles I dont think so....my car is LOUD.
Cat delete/Roush axelbacks/7/8 sidepipe opening.
Plus I do have a hearing loss. I dont sweat those things. If I want or like it and a slight rattle comes with it, I learn to just deal with it. All cars after some time will get rattles of some sort do to age or after market parts installed. let your heart be your guide. Its your Boss to do what ever you want to it. I chose to make changes here and there. I will be LONG gone before this car becomes a collector item. It will be up to my grandson if I EVER get one...Lol
Drive it and enjoy it what ever way you chose and dont let people sway you....

MRT are the best on the market!!

I had MRTs on my '07 and they only rattled when I broke a clip, but my install was off slightly so I broke clips often. They've redesigned their louvers since then to be even quieter, so if you install correctly you should have no issues. Get aluminum louvers whatever you buy, though. The plastic ones are crap.

Gross, one thing if they did anything but they are plastic that are double sided taped onto your car, come on that's just cheap.

I had the MRT aluminum louvers on my 06 GT for 5 yrs. Broke 1 plastic clip over the years, but had no other issues. No rattle or noise.
I thought about putting a set on the Boss, but have decided to leave it as is for now, maybe later.
The MRT's mount with 4 pads that tape to the rear window glass with 3M tape, so no irreversible damage installing. They are also hinged, which makes cleaning the window easier, the latest version comes with prop rods.
The other brands out there, Astro Hammond for one are not hinged.
Attached a few pics of the MRT's on my 06, the same louver fits the 10-14's as well.

Very nice boss man. And you're 100% right about letting your heart be your guide and don't let people sway you well said sir. Come spring im Definatley going to get mrt louvers on my boss I love the way it looks and like you said it's just tape so no ill effects or damage very easy to remove if I ever change my mind or need to bring it back to stock. The only other things that i have changed on it is the exhaust took stock off put roush exhaust on and the JLT CAI and had it tuned and dyno tested added about 20hp. I have both stock exhaust and air intake in basement pretty easy to swap back on if need be. Boss man how is the install for the met is it fairly simple or should I have someone do it it seems easy but I wouldn't mind paying someone who has done it before don't want to take any chances

There is a guy at work that has '13 or 14 Race Red V6 with rear windshield and quarter window louvers. Almost took a pic, I thought it looked good. I have never seen the MRTs in person, but I think this guy has another brand as they don't look the same.

I'll snag a pic next week.

I'm not a fan of the quarter window louvers. While they may look cool, I really like having that extra visibility.

Thumbs up

+1 on the MRT Louvers. I've had them on my Boss for just over 3 years, no rattles, & easy to clean the window. Very well made piece. They do help keep the heat out of the interior and don't interfere with your rear view either. Plus they look good.

AirCare Looks Awesome. Love the louvers.

Had these on one of my first GT's. Glad to hear they do not make any noise.

Is it also true by installing the rear window louvers it creates a downwind force that helps keep the rear end of the car down. I mean looking at the design it looks like it would make sense.

Probably a few pounds but nothing that would matter.

Aerocatch all the way, though you shouldn't need them on a 13 with the stock hood.
