Signed up for NASA today and registered in my FIRST Track Event ever! HPDE1 at Memphis International Raceway! I'm excited but a little apprehensive!

You'll have a great time. Just listen to your instructor and don't be embarrassed if you get passed by lower powered cars. You will really be moving by the end of the day.

All good advice from everyone already. You're going to have a great time. Go in with a mind toward learning. Just remember that everyone's a beginner at some point so just go in with that attitude. Listen, learn and have fun! You'll find that most everyone will be supportive, friendly and happy that you're there. The more people that enjoy this hobby, the better it is for all of us so they WANT you there to learn and get hooked!

Yep, I'm in the same boat, apprehensive!
I stopped by MPH (Hastings Ne.) on Wednesday and was passenger for a few laps in a corvette on the track, two of the laps were full out HOT (Scary but Exciting) and after getting my blood pressure down I wanted to get my car on the track and try and learn what Casey (Driver of Vette) just showed me.
I'm now signed up for some schooling and the September track event that Gary told us about (Gary, Casey is reworking the wording and confusion on the flier)
I am so pumped to get my car out to play, now I just need to figure out what I have to do on the Boss before I run it.

Yea im thinkin bout registering for a couple track days but after perfirmance driving school! Turning 18 in a couple months and this has been a goal of mine for a few years now. Parents arent exactly thrilled but i can understand why. Its risky stuff but thats what makes it fun! Anyway good luck with all that and dont be afraid of the brakes!
