Pricing before 11/8 Order Bank open

Will we be getting pricing before the Order Bank opens on 11/8?

It certainly would be nice. Almost any information would be nice at this stage. I'm sure that it will come in due time, but it makes it harder for those of us who are not rich to do a bit of planning.

Ford has dropped the ball on this.

Maybe, maybe not. It's probably not a priority for them right now. I'd like to know, but it isn't like finding out today or in two months makes any difference. I can't afford to have one of the first ones anyway since I'm not a rich guy. I'll probably have to let the hullabalo die down and then try to pick one up, if possible.

There really isn't any excuse for not having the pricing out by now. There are guys who are wanting to order as soon as the banks open up who would like to know exactly what they are getting into.
Especially since this is a limited production car it is vital to know the pricing as early as possible.

The Bullitt package was around $3,300, considering it is four years later and improved upgrades wouldn't it make sense to expect the package to be $6 - 7K above the GT and the LS to be an additional $5K?

Those that are THAT interested will be in the dealer ordering regardless of the price. It's easier to talk you into buying when you're in the dealer's office before you've made up you mind. That's why they don't release it too early. And it's not just the Boss -- the order guide and price list for ALL the 2012 Mustangs get released at the same time; it's not as if the Boss is a special case, the entire Mustang pricing list is one package.

That said, the ordering banks open Monday, I'd be surprised if we don't see something before the weekend.

I have no knowledge/idea on how the order process works BUT I'm assuming that there will be a large number of potential customers hitting their dealers Monday since that is when Ford has stated the information on the 2012's will be available. I would think that the info would be up and in the system by the end of the week to insure its all in and operating correctly but thats just my 2 cts.

Yes that is true. The difference as I see it is- the other mustangs aren't limited editions. If you don't like the prices you can search for a deal on an '011.
I just think that for such a special edition like the Boss they could've had more info out about it and also have the pricing out.
We knew about the pricing on the 08 Bullitt several weeks before the order banks opened.

that might be true, but I think that this car is a much bigger deal than the Bullitt, and I drive one of those everyday.

Like I said; those "gotta have it first people" will be there wallet in hand; you already know what a GT costs and what a Shelby costs. So there's your range.

That's really all you need to know. There will be people out there that will buy a Boss at almost Shelby prices because to those people a few grand either way means nothing.

Which all the more reason to have that info available now.
Oh well, Ford will do what they want and when they want.

Well, it's November 8th. I just dialed into the order banks, and the 2012 Boss 302 still doesn't show pricing and results in the same message as before:

HOLD - 2012 MUSTANG ORDERING
VEHICLE LINE N/A FOR JOB #1 ORDERS

No order guides yet either, so the waiting continues!

Thanks for the update. The 11/8 date has been the one most often mentioned but I've also read some posts on sites that it is 11/15 ?????

That was for the close of the '11 Order Bank, not the opening of the '12s

Thanks and please keep checking.

When the order guide comes out, will you be able to give us a pdf copy?

thanks

I check daily as I have 3 Boss 2012's on order, so I'll post up when pricing and the order bank is available.

I can't do the .pdf file, but I bet Jeff (05FordGT) will, as he usually does.
