Michael Morris is the bomb!!! I think he has one more allocation. There is no one better to deal with in the industry!

Congrats, the long wait is finally over for you. I saw a yellow and black Boss at our local auto show. They look great in person.

Commit numbers can be assigned as close as a couple of hours prior to production.

Commit numbers are four digits so once they reach their highest value, it starts over at the lowest number.

This commit number does not appear on the Window Sticker, but you will see it on labels attached to various components of the car.
Awesome! Thanks for the information. I went through some pics I took when montreal ponies picked up his car last summer. At delivery the external labels had been removed and set aside. I don't see any labels on the interior parts that might have the commit number, but there was a four digit number written on the back side of the front plate holder. Could that be the number?

If the front plate holder was a "loose" (not attached at the factory) item then I doubt it. I'll know when I get mine, and let you know.

e.g. in the following picture, the commit number is 6550

Nice picture. I'm jealous...

Would it be correct to say that since the Boss number plates have both the VIN and the sequence number on them, it's possible the Boss' were built out of 'sequence' since the parts had to be made up ahead of time?

After you remove the discs do we need to install a gasket to replace the gap? The discs look like gasket thickness.

Hey guys, I just got back tonight and will post pics tomorrow. As far as gaskets...none required. My salesman said that Ford informed him that the side pipes did not really release any back pressure and that it was all about sound. So sound, but no pressure.

I haven't caught up to the post lately, but let me say that the power and sound is incredible!!! About 450 miles on mine so far.
