Can anyone tell me how to use the "launch control" assist. I dont see it on the track apps options or is it just a procedure you follow? I knocked off a 5 second flat 0-60 which is good considering my first attempt was a 6.7!

Welcome and congrats! You will love it. There is no "servo" that opens the side pipes. I am thinking you were joking? But maybe not so I will explain anyway. There is a plate in a flange just downstream where the side pipes branch off. This plate has a 1/4" diameter hole to let some sound through. You can jack up the car and remove them yourself and that opens them up just about another inch, and let's out a LOT more sound. Someone here sells plates with larger diameter holes, I think it is username 2012YellowBoss, or Yellow2012Boss or something like this. There are electronic cutouts that are available in the aftermarket by QuickTime Performance. These allow you to switch the side exhause open or closed by either an interior toggle or key fob remote. But, its my preference to run them fully open all the time.

Unfortuantely, I was not joking. I knew they had to be removed manually but the "mechanic" who I was told is the dealerships expert on the Boss 302 explained to me how there are, from the factory, eletric servos that automatically open when you "get on it".
THanks for your next post. I was hoping someone made an electric version. I might be a player for those.

Yeah I thought those would be great too, but I hear they can give you trouble if you are in wet or wintery conditions, so consider that too.

It is unfortunate but as you apparently found, Ford POORLY prepared their dealers and service departments for this car. You would think they would require some kind of training to familiarize at least one person from each service dept on the features of each car, especially such a special one.

Exactly what i was thinking. My salesman knew nothing - which I have come to expect - but evne the dealership owner and the mechanics were poorly informed. I worked for a dealer selling cars about twenty years ago. I made it my business to know exactly what option packages were available and in particular, everything I could know about special edition cars. Incidentally, I sold about 16 of those cars as opposed to the 2 the rest of the salesmen (who treated the customers like idiots and refused to learn anythign about the product) sold.

I heard the same thing about those cutouts when I was considering them on my last car. Still, they seem perfect for the Boss! Maybe someone who has installed them can chime in.

I'm School Bus Yellow. I just went past my dealer and he has the Green up on a ramp. I thought my car was noticible!!! I'm cleaning the car this weekend and should be taking some photos.
