I’m looking to purchase either a 12 or 13 here soon and curious on colors. If after a few years I decide to part with it, what’s the best color to get that will sell easily? I see a lot of orange ones for sale so I’m guessing that’s not desirable?

Unusual colors can always have that certain 'draw' but many folks don't like standing out with the bold colors either so it is indeed a mix of thoughts.
I would worry more on what you want to drive for a few years or longer without getting tired of it.
Do you have a wife or girlfriend with their personal likes or dislikes? Believe me, that can mean a lot down the road. My wife loves colors and I really don't mind anything to be honest as long as it's the car I want. My wife tolerated our old '07 white Mustang as it had many black accents to break it up. Now look at this rainbow in my garage! Our old white GT/CS
Personally I would just buy the color I like, and I would not expect this car to be an "investment"
Prices are still high right now due to the "pandemic premium" which has lasted a lot longer than I expected; that bubble will inevitably burst eventually, and the prices will go down, not up

'12 and '13's have different color options. 12's have the black roof and center hood in various colors, matching the strips I believe. There are no bad colors on the Boss, but most folks will have their favorites. In '13, Grabber Blue is the rarest.
I went with '13. Wanted the newer more retro looking tail lights etc. Note front end is different too. Have you found the Boss 302 FB page? Lots of pics and info there. Other one has been hacked so everyone moving to this one. Boss 302 Owners Group 25.
