New Owner of a '12 302!

Made the switch from German vehicles to a lightly used '12 Boss with 15k miles! Don't know too much about it just yet but loving it so far. Coming from mostly all turbo cars, its a breath of free air having a big V8. Always loved modding my cars so I am open to any suggestions that you guys feel I should do. Did order some Roush axle-backs the other day because I didn't want anything too crazy loud as my previous GTI was straight piped and I don't miss the drone whatsoever. Lookin into some possible suspension work as well as shifter upgrade in the near future. Will post some pics of the red beauty when I can upload them. looking forward to learning from you guys about how awesome this car can be!

Beautiful looking car and I think an excellent investment, not that future worth should be a big consideration but it is like a bonus. Smart choice to me.

I love the 2012's as well as the '13's. Ford changed the hood in the thirteen to allow for better air flow and cooling in the engine compartment. I see a lot of heat rising out of mine at stop lights. If I had a '12, I might keep the original hood and buy a louvered hood to keep that engine running as long as possible.

Yea the car is an absolute blast to drive, definitely different then what I am used to. Are there any suggestions for first mods that you guys prefer? Ive read where people love doing the tune and a CAI as the first bread and butter to say. I don't know how I feel about a tune though seeing that I have the red key and here that if you tune it, then the red key tune gets replaced. Ive been leaning towards getting a MGW shifter upgrade and potentially some LCA's and maybe a larger TB. Any other recommendations? Is a tune worth it as well?

Congrats & great choice on color
Shifter mod/upgrade would be my first suggestion.
Best options would be either the MGW or the Blowfish bracket.
Check into the Track key as well.
Larger TB won't give you a good bang for the buck IMO.

I love the car, Boss Mustang will always be valued. You mentioned a Roush Axle back, you will be loud in a great way! Louder than your previous GTI, deep rumble, Heads will turn! Good luck

I was thinking that shifter would be the top of the list item to get. I read mixed reviews on the blowfish though. I actually already have a truck key, that's why I'm wondering if a tune is worth it in regards to already having the key.

Get the MGW.
99% of the reviews on the MGW shifter from those that have it, love it. Do it right the first time.

I agree with the shifter. If the car is a PITA to shift>>>all the fun is gone.
Next is up to you... :-)
If you have any trouble we have members here that are very experienced in spending other Boss owners money. It will taper off around 3 to 4 grand later.

Enjoy her
She is a looker!

I like the MGW shifter but I'm certain the Blowfish bracket is the only thing stopping my trans from grinding itself to death. It's well worth the investment, IMHO.

You must have the new Blowfish that is compatible with MGW's ?
With just an MGW my shift problems are gone.
