New Boss 302 Spring Option From Steeda!

Can't comment on stock to Steeda as I was going to do a back to back test but when I was installing MM camber plates i got lazy and put the Steeda springs on instead of installing stock springs for testing 1st
Went to Sebring today and got 2 dry sessions car felt good back end hooked up and just a little push in turns. Now the bad, I could only get -2 degrees camber before the Steeda springs started binding against the shock tower.
I took a 500 mile trip with Steeda's installed and ride was firm but not uncomfortable.

Brake dive body roll was not bad at all. Wanted to do some tire temps but afternoon rain interfered. The afternoon sessions in the rain were very informative left TC on and it caught the car a couple of times when I got a little over aggressive. Wouldn't want to depend on TC for a major oops though. Sort of a pucker factor spinning the tires at 110 mph on the start/finish paint at Sebring. .
Ride is firm and well controlled and the shocks seem to handle the extra spring rate with no problem. As a daily driver I guess it depends on how firm is to much.

Sale price should be good through the rest of this month. A panhard bar is not required. We recommend it due to the reduced deflection from our bushings and it takes a few pounds of weight off the car as well.

Gus, how is it possible that the radical change in F/R spring stiffness does not affect the balance of the car? The stock springs are stiffer in the rear than the front. Is the roll stiffness contribution from the springs much smaller than that of the bars?

It actually DOES affect the balance of the car. The springs by themselves, assuming no other changes whatsoever, (no camber changes, tire compound, shock valving, etc) will move the car to have just a bit of understeer at the maximum handling limit. You can make changes to dial this out (more camber, shock adjustment changes, etc) but as is out of the box you can most likely expect a tendency towards slight understeer at the handling limit.

If I had to choose for my own personal GT, I would do the Boss Steeda springs. Theres not much of a difference between them and the comp springs. The Boss springs are a hair more cost effective.

Handling wise I don't track my car or drive it to hard in the twists so my comments aren't worth much. I did notice it hooked up much better from a dig and got rid of the really bad wheel hop I was getting to me that's a huge plus. Ride wise not much diff just on really hard bumps it feels a little firmer. I def recommend them, I was worried it wouldn't be low enough but it came out perfect. If you want a slammed look I would go with something else.

Here are a few additional pics with the Steeda Springs. I Installed the Steeda HD Strut mounts and adjustable panhard bar as well. Can't comment on the handling as I have yet to have the car on the track for a proper test. Ride quality seems the same and the nose-dive under braking has been greatly reduced.
